Does the Planet dragon help acquire more or cheaper space on an island? For that matter, do any of the dragons convey special advantages in other activities such as mining, wealth accumulation?
The only feature where the dragons are special, is in the Battle Arena, when the dragon is at level 10 and you use the right elements against the opponoent, you have more possibilities to win the battle. For example, the strong elements are the Champion and Diamond type, against dragons with this elements you only need luck to win against them.
No dragon can give you more space or cheapest things in the game, the dragons only give you coins, some dragons give you a big amount of coins, others give a low amount of coins.
About mining, you are the one who mine, not the dragons, what you get from the mine is parts for you to craft the dragon that currently is on the mine.
And gold dragons give gold.

I like the idea of dragons with special properties! A food boosting dragon would be nice :-)
