    instant expired goal

    hi, I just completed the crab claw goal.
    This should have enabled the boiled crab goal, but instead I got the message that I had run out of time (or whatever it said) And was offered the option of paying 43 gems.
    How could this happen? Is this fixable?

    If you completed the goal "Just Be Claws" then you would have accessed the Boiled Crab recipe and the next goal "Curing the Crabby". These limited time goals ended on July 7th, 2014 at 1:00PM PDT. If you ran out of time working on these goals, then you may have a chance to complete the expired goal by using Gems. It looks like this is the dialogue you were seeing.
