    12-3 2nd Anniversary Tournament Part 2

Thurston: Good day, my liege! Are you prepared for the
    start of our wondrous exhibition?
Ruler: I think so! I've got a sword and some armor, and
    I did plenty of practicing...
...so let's get this show on the road!

IVY: Wait! Did you eat breakfast yet? You can't fight
    monsters on an empty stomach!
Ruler: Hm, that's true. What should we have for
    breakfast, then?
Ivy: How about some nice spicy food? Something
with a real kick to give you energy.
Ruler: I'm not sold on your reasoning, but I'm also not
picky. Spicy food it is. Let's eat!

Thurston: Wait! The proper food to eat before any combat
    is a plain, simple meal.
The Knight's Code says, 'Eat not for breakfast
that which might distract you later.'
Ruler: Well, I suppose we can have some spicy food
and some plain food. Let's do it!

    OT: Wait!
    Ruler: Yes, Old Thomas?
OT: What about dessert? To, ah, lift your spirits
    before fighting?
Ruler: You sure do have a sweet tooth, but dessert for
    breakfast sounds good, too.
Let's all gather what we prefer to eat, and then
I'll eat a little of everything.

Ivy>It looks like we've got some cooking to do! Breakfast is the most
important meal of the day, especially on a day like this on.
    1. The Most Important Meal - give> Simple Feast(Plain food for stability!)
Spicy Feast (Spicy food for energy!) and Apple Pie (Dessert for fun!)
    Ivy>Wow, what a spread! Let's dig in!

Ruler: Now that I won't be fighting on an empty
    stomach, I think we're ready.
Thurston: Excellent! Let us proceed to the Jousting Arena,
    where your first challenge awaits!

    *at the Jousting Arena*
Ruler: Is that the yellow skunkupine over there?
Besides the color, it looks just like a normal one.
IVY: Maybe its special powers are things you can't
see, like tenacity! Or mind control!
Ruler: Mind control? That doesn't seem likely.
IVY: I'm just saying, that's no average skunkupine
    that's been colored yellow.
    It's special! Very, very... special.
Ruler: Well, I'm ready to take it on. Here we go!

Ivy>Even in this light, that skunkupine looks pretty convincing.
It's time to cheer on our ruler!
    2. Ready, Steady, Go! -beat up the yellow skunkupine
(Meet it at the Jousting Arena!)
Ivy>Well that was over a little sooner than we expected!

Ruler: Whew! I'm feeling more confident after that round.
Maybe taking on these monsters won't be so hard after all!
IVY: You probably surprised it, so it didn't have a
chance to use its mind control.
Ruler: What makes you think that skunkupine was
    capable of mind control?
IVY: I don't know, why wouldn't it be? All I'm saying
is, don't let your guard down!
Ruler: That seems like good advice regardless.
    Thurston, what's next?
Thurston: Next you will face a mighty green fang beast!
Capturing it was quite difficult, so I am certain it
    will provide a challenge.
Ruler: I'm ready--let me at it!

Ivy>Go team Glimmerwood! Beat up that fang beast! You can do it!
    3. On to Round 2 (Meet it at the Jousting Arena!)
Ivy>You really gave that fang beast the business! Hooray!

Ruler: Ok, that round was tougher, but I did it!
Thurston: Indeed you did, and in grand style as well!
Ruler: The crowd really seems to be getting into the exhibition.
I didn't expect to hear so much cheering!
IVY: Ooh, we should had out colored scarves that they can wave...
...to show support in the coming rounds!
Ruler: That's a great idea, but do we have any lying around?
IVY: You take a break before the next round, and I'll whip something up.

Ruler: Speaking of the next round, what will I be facing?
Thurston: Your next opponent is the blue dire boar,
my liege! I wish you luck!

Ivy>If we give some purple scarves to the crowd,
we can get everyone in on the action when you face off
against that dire boar! 4. Round 3, Fight! -give
Dyed Scarves(Make them at the Workshop!)
beat up the blue dire boar (Meet it at the Jousting Arena!)
Ivy>Oof! That pig really packed a punch, but you beat it!

IVY: Wow, that one looked tough!
Ruler: It really was. It took a lot out of me,
and out of my gear, too!
Thurston: Indeed, your sword and armor are no longer
    in peak condition...
...and with the rounds growing more difficult,
I feel we should repair them.
Ruler: That's not a bad idea. Will it take long
to hammer them back into shape?
OT: If I may make a suggestion: perhaps we could
    improve them as well.
I have scrolls that detail the process of
    reinforcing armor and weapons.
Ruler: When we make the armor more durable, can we
    also make it more comfortable?
    OT: I believe so, yes!

OT>Let us go to the Magic Forge and fix up that gear of yours!
Adding a touch of extra magic should make it even more resilient.
    5. Time for Reinforcements - at the Magic Forge
Equip Reinforced Armor(Sturdier and better fitting!)
    Equip Reinforced Sword(An unbreakable blade!)
OT>Oh yes, those look to be much better!

Ruler: Wow, you really did make this armor more comfortable!
And so shiny, too -- it's going to be a shame to
get it all dinged up again.
Thurston: Indeed, but the work of a champion is never done!
Ruler: Speaking of 'never done', there's another round to fight!
What am I facing off against this time?
Thurston: Not what, but who! In this round, your opponent
    is a might red troll!
Ruler: Is that the troll over there? He's pretty
    intimidating...
OT: Do not worry, child! As they say, his bark is
    worse than his bite.
    Ruler: He barks?
IVY: Who cares about barking -- he BITES!?
OT: Perhaps I should have selected a less figurative
    turn of phrase...

Thurston>That troll may have a fearsome look,
but I have every confidence in our ruler's ability
to defeat him! Let the round commence!
    6. Troll SMASH (Meet him at the Jousting Arena!)
    Thurston>A resounding victory! Huzzah!

IVY: Congratulations! You looked great out there!
Ruler: Thanks, Ivy! That one really took a lot out of me, though.
Breakfast seems like a lifetime ago, and I'm
    almost out of energy.
IVY: I know what we can do! How about some elixir
    to wake you back up?
It'll have you back on your feet in no time!
Ruler: Ok, we can take a short break and then start
    the final round.

Ruler: Old Thomas, is my mystery opponent ready?
OT: Indeed it is, but I must fetch it from where I have
    been grow... ah... KEEPING it.
Ruler: Ok, you bring in my opponent, Ivy can take care
    of the elixir...
...and Thurston and I can stay here and talk strategy.

OT>The last time I checked on our stony friend, it had very
nearly reached what I believe is its ideal size for this challenge.
I look forward to the battle!
    7. Re-energize - Make Faerie Elixer at the Greenhouse;
Fetch the Mystery Opponent (It's at Old Thomas's House!)
OT>I believe this golem is ready for combat!

Ruler: I've got my second wind! Or maybe it's my third...
Is everything set up for the final round?
OT: Your final opponent is being led into the arena as we speak!
Ruler: Wow, that thing is big and... big. What is it?
OT: A rock golem of my own creation!
I believe it will provide you with a challenge
worthy of the final round of this exhibition!
Ruler: Um... it looks angry. Are you sure this is safe?
OT: The potion I used was calibrated to provide an
    appropriate challenge.
I am certain that defeating this golem is within your power!
Ruler: Good enough for me. Wish me luck, everyone!
    IVY: Go get 'em, kiddo!

Ivy>I can't believe it's the last round already!
I'm about to fall out of my seat in anticipation --
go Glimmerwood! 8. Four Down, One to Go!
(Meet the Purple Golem at the Jousting Arena!)
    Ivy>You did it!
The exhibition is over and you won every round!

Ruler: What a day! That exhibition was exhausting, but fun.
IVY: I'll say! We'll have to do it again next year.
Ruler: Or we could do something more relaxing...
...like an anniversary picnic, or an anniversary banquet.

OT: For now, might I suggest a late dinner to end the day?
IVY: I hear there's quite a celebration going on at the tavern.
Thurston: Indeed! Let us adjourn to the tavern and raise
a glass to our fearless ruler!
Ruler: To everyone in the kingdom, I'd say.
This place is what we've all made it, together.
I couldn't have done it without you!

Ivy>It seems like only yesterday, each of us was all alone in the Glimmerwood.
Now we're a real kingdom, capable of facing any challenge together!
    9. Happy Second Birthday! (Celebrate with your friends!)
Kick back and relax at the Tavern
    Ivy>Happy Second Birthday, Glimmerwood!

    C21-5 The Faerie Workshop

Ruler: Well, the faeries have given us a few of their building materials...
...but with this many, what can we build?
IVY: A dollhouse? Or a very small chair.
Ruler: After traveling all that way, I was hoping we could make something a littler larger.
OT: It is possible that after examining some of their materials, we could devise...
...a way to make some of our own!
Ruler: That would let us build something bigger, without so many trips for supplies.
Ruler: Lady Greselda, do you think you could help Old Thomas and Ivy?
Lady G: Why of course, dearie. I'd love to get a closer look at some faerie magic...
...although I do find the faerie style a bit lacking in taste.

OT>If we examine the faerie materials we already have, we can determine the essence
of what gives them their magic and then discover how to distill it ourselves!
    1. D.I.Y. -Make 1 Faerie Essence (Make it at the Potion Shop!)
OT>Good news: we distilled a Faerie Essence. Bad news: The Potion Shop needs a new roof.

Ruler: *cough cough* What happened in here?
IVY: Looks like we blew a hole in the roof.
But on the bright side, it's not raining!
Ruler: The hole in the roof is hard to miss, but how did it get there?
OT: I must say, I am not entirely sure.
I believe the faerie magic may have proved too much for this structure to contain.
Ruler: Maybe we should ask the faeries what to do.

Azalea: Of course you should! Who knows faerie magic better than one of us?
I sensed that explosion from across the square! What were you attempting?
Ruler: We were trying to find a way to make our own faerie beams and blocks.
Making them here would be much easier than bringing them home a few at time!
Azalea: Hmm. Perhaps you could -- you seem to have duplicated their magical essence.
But you're going to keep destroying the roof unless you have a faerie structure to distill it in.
Ruler: We can worry abut that later. For now, let's put the roof back on this place.

Ivy>We've learned a lot about building since we put this roof on the first time.
Now that we have to redo it anyways, let's do it right!
    2. Fixer-Upper -give 4Royal Beams(Tougher to blast through!) & 1 Builders Paste (Holding it together!)
Ivy>There we go! Good as new, or maybe even better!

Ruler: Hi, Azalea! I've been looking everywhere for you.
Azalea: I find it peaceful here in the Conservatory, surrounded by flowers.
Ruler: I'm glad you like it. I have a few questions about what you were saying before.
Azalea: About needing a faerie building to contain the magic?
What kind of fool doesn't know that faerie magic is too strong for a human building?
Ruler: Um, this kind? But we know now.
Do we need to build an entire building from faerie materials so that we can make more?
    Azalea: That's it exactly.
Ruler: So we need to go back to the Plume Hive for materials until we have our own building?
Azalea: Well, you *could* do that? but as the Queen's handmaiden, I have access to such things.
Ruler: You would do that for us?
Azalea: You know how much I enjoy your sweets -- could we exchange one for the other?

Ivy> Since this is candy for a faerie, we can't just make it sweet.
Let's make it beautiful, too, with a little dash of magic!
    3. Let's Make a Deal - give Azalea some Candy Bonbons (Make them in the Kitchen!)
Ivy> It was hard not to steal a few for myself!

Orange faerie Lila: Hey! What's this I hear about you making deals with Azalea?
Are the two of you plotting against me? You are, aren't you?
Ruler: What? No, Lila! Azalea is just helping us with a construction problem.
Lila: What kind of problem? I heard you gave her candy. Could I help, too?
Ruler: You might be able to. Do you know how to get Faerie Blocks?
Lila: I sure do! I'm way better at getting things that Azalea is!
Ruler: It doesn't need to be a competition You can both help, after all.
    Do you also want candy?
Lila: Candy? Psh, I've got enough of that.
What I want is a delicate cake to eat with my tea.
Ruler: I'm sure we can work something out.

Ivy> Well, it looks like word has gotten around about Azalea helping us out,
but if it brings us more help, I guess that's a good thing!
    4. In for a Penny - give Lila 5 teacakes (Make them in the Kitchen!)
Ivy> Look at those tine Teacakes! They're perfect!

Ruler: Our pile of building supplies is growing!
IVY: It sure is! Now we could build a doll mansion, or maybe even a skunkhouse!
Ruler: What in the world is a skunkhouse?
IVY: You know, a house for Pepe. He gets cold outdoors in the winter time!
Ruler: We're not building your pet skunkupines a faerie skunkhouse, Ivy.
IVY: Ok, ok. It would have been so *cute* though.
Ruler: We still need more Faerie Paste before we start building anything.
Azalea: We can help you with that.
Ruler: Azalea! And Lila, too? I didn't expect to see you two together.
Lila: Well, we're going to have to work together to get Faerie Paste...
Azalea: ...and we know what we would like in return!
    Ruler: More sweets?
Lila: Not this time! We would like ornaments for our hair -- something that sparkles!

Sabina>I'm glad you came to me. Hairstyling was my life when I was young,
and I'm sure I can make hair ornaments that faeries will love!
    5. Best Frienemies - give the faeries 2 Jeweled Hairpins (Make them in the Forge!)
Sabina> There you go -- just look at them sparkle!

IVY: Funny how after all that work you did to reconcile the faeries...
?what finally brought them together was the chance to get you to make things for them!
Ruler: Well, as long as it works, I'm not going to complain.
Having those two at each other's throats was turning into a real hazard around here.
IVY: I don't know... I'll miss the food fights, at least.
Ruler: Still, we don't have enough supplies for a whole building.
OT: I wonder, will Lila and Azalea continue to provide assistance?
Ruler: Funny you should ask -- they're coming this way.
Lila: Our hairpins are *so beautiful*! We're the envy of the entire Plume Hive!
Ruler: That's great! Is there anything else you need?
    Azalea: Not for ourselves...
Lila: but if we had more hairpins and more sweets, we could trade them to our sisters!
Azalea: So if you have any more, we can give you more supplies in return!

Ivy> At least we've managed to teach the faeries the value of commerce!
The value of friendship can come next?
    6. The Value of Commerce-Trade with the faeries (Get more building supplies!)
Ivy> I hope Queen Ivinea doesn't notice these things are missing!

Ruler: I think it's finally time, everyone!
We've got enough supplies to start work on our kingdom's first faerie building.
Lady G: That's lovely, dear, but please don't put it too near my gardens.
I fear that faerie flowers and my flowers won't quite get along.
Ruler: We'll give your flowers plenty of space, don't worry.
IVY: I'm sure the new building will turn out just great!
Ruler: What's on your mind, Old Thomas? You're staring into space.
OT: Ah, I was just considering the possibilities of a building this infused with natural magic.
In a structure so magical, all kinds of experiments are possible!
Ruler: Let's get it built, and then see what we can do!

Ivy>I know we're all excited about what we're going to be able to do in the new building
without even blowing it up, but I'm the most excited about how pretty it will be.
Let's get to work! 7. Start of Something Beautiful-Build a Faerie Workshop(Buy it from the Market!)
Ivy>It's so cute! Now let's see what we can make.

    C21-6 Faerie Bridge

Ruler: Let's really put this Faerie Workshop to use!
    What should we build next?
OT: I must say, I am not certain. Faerie architecture is so different from our own.
Perhaps one of the Faeries might have a suggestion.
Ruler: Good idea. I'll go ask Azalea.

    *Later, at the Conservatory*
Ruler: ...so we were wondering what Faerie building to make next. Any thoughts?
Azalea: There is one thing, but preparing it is not so simple as putting together beams and blocks.
But if you were capable of undertaking a more challenging project...
...a Faerie Bridge would enable easier travel for the faeries between our kingdom and yours.
Ruler: We're always up for a challenge. How do we get started?
Azalea: Before the bridge can be built, we must spend several days preparing the ground.
Come with me to the Faerie Workshop, and I will show you what must be done.

Azalea>Many faerie structures require their foundation to be built on ground that has been infused
with our magic. First, craft this potion and spill it over your building site.
    1. Building Bridges - Preparation Potion (Make it at the Faerie Workshop!)
Azalea>The first step is complete. The ground will be ready for further work tomorrow.

    Ruler: Hm, that's odd.
    IVY: What is?
Ruler: This is where I poured out that potion, but the ground has been disturbed.
IVY: Maybe the smell of the potion attracted wild animals who were hungry enough to eat grass!
Ruler: This site *is* on the edge of the forest. I'm used to the woods bordering the kingdom...
...but sometimes I wonder if there are more creatures out there than we realize.
IVY: Do you think we should put up a fence, or try to lure any hungry animals away?
Ruler: That's not a bad idea. If you take care of that...
...I'll sprinkle more potion on the grass and ask Azalea what we have to do next.

    *at the Faerie Workshop*
Ruler: The ground has been covered in Preparation Potion, so I think we're ready for the next step.
Azalea: The next requirement is to provide a magical anchor for the foundation.
You must create four Spelled Stones and bury them under the corners of the foundation.

OT>I must record this process in my journal. The finished stones feel warm, and when I picked one up,
I got a shock from the strength of the magic. I cannot wait to document the changes these stones make
in the surrounding environment! 2. An Unexpected Disturbance - cover the damage with Preparation Potion(Just a little bit more!)
& Bury 4 Spelled Stones (make them at the Faerie Workshop)
OT>The Spelled Stones are buried, and even I can feel a change in the ground.

Lady G: Goodness me, what *are* you up to? And what is that smell?
IVY: Well, we need to keep any wandering animals away from the site of our new bridge!
We're going to wall off the site as much as we can, but I'm also putting out bait.
If the animals have food to eat, they won't have to eat the grass!
Lady G: I could transplant some of my plants. They know how to deal with hungry creatures.
IVY: If it's all the same to you, I'd rather not put the animals in danger.
Lady G: My plants aren't dangerous! They're merely... defensive.
IVY: Either way, I'm going to stick with laying out these fish and cabbages.
Lady G: Cabbages? I don't think even monsters will eat those.
IVY: We had extra, and I didn't want any animals to go hungry just because they don't eat meat!

Ivy>We can wall of this area pretty well with some stones, or maybe even hedgerows.
I thought about setting out traps, but if an animal needs food, I'd rather feed it than trap it any day.
    3. Keep Off the Grass - build walls/hedges (keep the animals out) use butterfish bait (keep the animals distracted)
use cabbage for bait (in case the animals are vegetarian!)
Ivy>That'll keep the animals away! Let's come back tomorrow for the last step
    .

Ruler: I hate to say this, but I don't think our damage is being caused by monsters.
IVY: What? What's happened now? Do you think this site is *haunted*?
Ruler: No, I don't think we've got ghosts...
?but one of the Spelled Stones I buried yesterday is gone.
    IVY: Something dug it up?
Ruler: I don't think we're dealing with someTHING anymore. I think it's someONE.
Someone who doesn't like cabbages. They took the fish, though.
IVY: Really? Well, there's no accounting for taste. What are we going to do?
Ruler: We can meet up and talk about that later. For now, I'm going to replace the Stone...
...and work on our next step. I'm meeting Azalea to learn about it.

Azalea>The final step in your preparation is to infuse the Faeriebulb Seeds with
the natural magic of your kingdom and plant them around your foundation.
Wedding your magic to the growing things of our land is a vital part of the process.
    4. Another Mystery - bury another Spelled Stone (I doubt we'll see the lost one again!)
and Plant Enchanted Seeds (make them at the Faerie Workshop!)
Azalea>The ground has been prepared. Once it has set overnight, building can begin.

Thurston: My liege, I have examined the upturned earth from last night's theft.
There is no doubt in my mind: the Stone was removed by thieves, not monsters.
Ruler: The Spelled Stones do look valuable.
It's possible that bandits saw us bury them yesterday and came in the night to steal one.
IVY: I had the feeling I was being watched while I laid out food around the building site.
Ruler: Anyone watching you do that could have seen me burying the missing Stone.
Thurston: If that is the case, I will pursue the bandits into the woods and recover the Stone.
Ruler: You don't have to do that, Thurston. I already made a new one.
Thurston: Still, we must keep our kingdom's borders safe!

Thurston>Although we no longer need the stolen Spelled Stone, I feel it is a Knight's duty
to pursue thieves who threaten our kingdom. Bandits, be on your guard!
    5. A Thief in the Night - Hunt the Roaming Bandits (Go on the Adventure!)
Thurston>I searched high and low, but the bandits were nowhere to be seen!

Ruler: Did you have any luck finding the bandits, Thurston? Did you get the Stone back?
Thurston: No, my liege, and indeed it is most curious--I could not find any bandits in the woods.
Ruler: What, none? Even when they're not bothering us, there's at least one band hiding out.
Thurston: I found signs of one campsite, but it was small, and the fire was cold.
The bandits seem to have moved off to a greater distance from our borders.
Ruler: Well, there must be *somebody* out there interfering with this project.
Thurston: I volunteer to keep watch over our kingdom this night.
Perhaps I will be able to apprehend our culprit.
Ruler: That's a good idea--I'll keep a lookout, too. Two pairs of eyes are better than one.
IVY: And four pairs of eyes will be better yet! Old Thomas and I will help.
Ruler: Are you sure, Old Thomas? You don't usually stay up all night.
OT: True, but I do not want to sleep while this mystery is solved without me!

Thurston>Each brave person standing watch shall be issued a Sentry Horn, for ease in communication.
From a high vantage point, I will surely be able to sound the alarm if thieves approach.
    6. On Watch -make Sentry Horns(to sound the alarm!) & keep a lookout (from up in a Watchtower!)
    Thurston>Stop, thief! Stop, I say!

Ruler: It's a shame we didn't catch our thief last night, but I think we're ready to build this bridge.
Thurston: I apologize, my liege. I failed you. I saw the thief, but did not manage to catch him.
Ruler: At least you chased him off before he did any damage. This building site looks just like I left it.
Azalea: I can feel the magic flowing through the earth.
This site is ready for the construction of the bridge between our kingdoms.
Ruler: You heard the faerie--let's start building!

Ivy>I'm glad we're finally ready to get this bridge built. Preparing for it has been a lot of work,
and once it's finished, we've got a mystery to solve! 7. A Bridge to Somewhere - build a faerie bridge
(buy it from the market) Ivy>So that's what a Faerie Bridge looks like? It's too bad only faeries can use it.

Ruler: Do you think our thief will come back now that the bridge is finished?
OT: Without understanding what he was after, it is impossible to know.
Ruler: Still, I think we should keep watch again tonight...
...and let's all try to stay awake. I think everyone but Thurston fell asleep last night.
IVY: Well can you blame us? It was late! And I drank a cup of hot milk.
That always puts me right to sleep.
Ruler: This time, let's drink something that will help us stay awake, instead.
Let's each set up somewhere we can see the bridge, and watch for anything suspicious.

Ivy>I've got a recipe for a potion that is guaranteed to perk you up, and the best part is,
the ingredients are all natural! Once we've all had some, we'll be ready to stay up all night and spot our intruder!
    8. Strangers in the Night? -drink the Alertness Potion(make it in the Potion Shop) ,
keep watch at the Faerie Bridge (Wait! What's that over there!)
Ivy>Oh my gosh! Kaz, is that you?

    26-3 Fellora Plants

    * Ivy in Lady Greselda's Garden*

Lady G: Hello there, dearie. I'm surprised to find you out here in my garden.
Are you here to admire my plants?
IVY: Actually, I was coming to see you when I heard a strange crunching sound from over here.
Lady G: Oh, you just heard the end of feeding time in the garden.
IVY: Feeding time? You mean like... fertilizer? Water?
Lady G: Something like that, to be sure. But now that you're here...
...perhaps it's time you learned a thing or two about a witch's plants.
IVY: Wow! I mean, I've always had a green thumb, but these plants look pretty fierce.
Lady G: No offence, dear, but you're not close to ready for plants of this caliber.
Instead, you'll be starting on plants that have magical uses, but mundane appetites.
You can plant these Fellora seeds in normal soil, so run along! I have things to tend to.

Lady G>Fellora Plants should be grown in rich, fertile soil.
Your garden may not be sufficient, so add some Fertilizer once you have the seeds in the ground.
    1. Care and Feeding -plant Fellora Plants (They don't look mean... yet!) , Add Fertilizer (As long as this is all they eat!)
Lady G>Now go elsewhere and wait for your plants to grow.

IVY: Lady Greselda! I didn't expect you to come check up on me.
Lady G: Oh, I'm not here to check on you, dear. I'm here to see your Fellora Plants.
Not every aspiring witch is ready for her own garden.
IVY: I'm ready, I'm sure of it! I've always had a way with plants, even weird ones.
Lady G: Weird? Are you calling my children *weird*!?
IVY: No, no, not *your* plants, just um... other plants.
You probably haven't heard of them.
Lady G: Very well. Show me what progress you've made with your own garden.
IVY: The Fellora Plants are really thriving! They're right over here.
Lady G: Why have you planted them so far from the rest of your garden?
IVY: I just thought they might, you know, appreciate some space of their own.
Lady G: How thoughtful. Once they have bloomed, harvest some of the blossoms...
...and bring them to me. Fellora Blossoms have many uses, you know.

Ivy>I know I told Lady Greselda that I wanted the Fellora Plants to have space,
but really I'm more worried about them eating my poor White Trillium.
Still, they seem normal enough so far. 2. Room to Grow -tend White Trillium(Console your plants!),
give Fellora Blossoms to Greselda (And ask her what they're for!)
Ivy>I got a little more than I bargained for, but all things considered, that went pretty well!

IVY: Lady Greselda! Hey, Lady Greselda!
Lady G: What? What is it? I'm quite busy, as you can see.
IVY: This won't take long. I was just wondering what a witch can do with Fellora Blossoms.
Lady G: All sorts of things, dear. Inks, potions, food and drink...
IVY: But what can *I* make with them? I've never seen them in any potion recipes before.
Lady G: Very well, if it will get you out of my perfectly coiffed hair.
Here is the recipe for the most basic potion that uses them: the Transformation Tonic.
IVY: Transformation Tonic? Does that do what I think it does?
Lady G: It helps turn things into other things. Now really, I must return to my work. Out.

Ivy>Ok, time to get to work on this potion. This recipe doesn't seem too hard,
but I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it after it's done. Transform things, I guess.
    3. The Transformation Tonic - brew 2 Transformation Tonic (in the Potion Shop!)
Ivy>I think this is it--prepare to be transformed!

IVY: Hey Lady Greselda, what are you looking for behind that credenza?
    Lady G: Rats!
    IVY: Rats?
Lady G: No, nothing dear, never you mind. I just saw you coming and remembered...
...having dropped something back here a while ago. No point in looking for it now, though.
IVY: Well in that case can you tell me--
Lady G: Today, really isn't a good day for this. Out!
IVY: But how will I know what to do with this Transformation Tonic?
    Lady G: OUT!

    *outside Lady Greselda's*

Lila: Hey, did I hear you say Transformation Tonic?
    Do you have some?
IVY: I sure do, but I don't know what to do with it.
Lila: I can show you, but you're going to owe me a favor!

Lila>With that Transformation Tonic, one thing you can do is transform
    Glimmer Fragments into Glimmer Shards.
Once you've got that down, you can try transforming them back, too.
    4. Practical Applications-make Glimmer Shards (Make them at the Faerie Workshop!)
Lila>You did it! I'll be in touch about that favor you owe me...

Note: can now transform Glimmer Shards to Glimmer Fragments too.

    End of Quests

    C20 Halloween Caravans 2014

Ruler: Hi, Ivy! Old Thomas said you were looking for me--what's up?
IVY: Oh, nothing much. It's just that... you know how much I love decorating for holidays?
Ruler: I think I might have noticed that, yes.
IVY: And you know how you said we could have a Halloween party this year?
    Ruler: I did?
IVY: Regardless, I started making decorations, and I might have made a few too many.
Ruler: How many is 'a few'?
IVY: That's not as important as what we're going to do with them!
    Ruler: Decorate the entire Glimmerwood?
IVY: No, but that's a good idea for next year! A neighboring kingdom is also planning a party...
...but they didn't get as much of a head start on the decorations as I did.
We're going to give them some party supplies, and they're going to help with our costumes!

Ivy>I've got everything here that we're going to need to throw a fantastic Halloween costume party--in fact,
I've got enough for at least two parties, which is why we're going to have to pack some of it up and send it on its way.
    1. Party Planner - check out the party supplies>GO Head over to Ivy's Hut
Ivy>Let's do our neighbors a favor and organize this stuff before we send it!

IVY: Now all that's left is to provide the materials for the finishing touches!
    Ruler: Parchment and paint?
IVY: With parchment, some color, and a little imagination, you can make just about anything!
    Bats, pumpkins, ghosts, spiders, tigers...
    Ruler: Tigers?
IVY: I had leftover black and orange. Besides, I'm sure they'll scare *someone*.

Ivy>How are tigers not scary? They can climb trees! Imagine a tiger jumping
out of a tree onto your head--scary, right? Right. Let's get this stuff loaded up.
The Decorative Caravan- RSVP's(who's coming to the party?), simple glue(for sticking up decorations),
orange dye (for making paper pumpkins!), black ink (for making paper bats!), cheap parchment(for making all the decorations).
    Ivy>I think that?s everything!

IVY: If you're going to have a successful Halloween party, you have to feed your guests!
Ruler: Won't everyone be full of candy after trick or treating?
IVY: Candy is important, but you need other things, too...
...like drinks, snacks, and supplies for party games.
Ruler: Do you really think anyone is going to eat carrots on Halloween?
IVY: You never know... someone might be dressed as a rabbit!

Ivy>Just stack the carrots over there next to the milk bottles,
and we can put the apples in on top. The Refreshment Caravan- carrots(a healthy alternative!),
sugar cane(for making lots of sweets!), apples(to bob for!), strawberries(to put in the punch),
milk(to wash down all the chocolate!).
Ivy>I wonder what they're going to make with all that sugar!

Ruler: What's this stuff over here?
    It looks a little... spooky.
IVY: It's not a Halloween party without some spooky stuff!
These decorations will help set the right atmosphere.
Ruler: You're not worried about terrifying your guests?
IVY: I think this is the one time of year when having fake blood on the walls *isn't* too scary!

Ivy>Haven't you ever had your hand put in a bowl of cold noodles while you were wearing a blindfold?
It feels just like brains! Or at least that's what I've heard.
The Spooky Caravan- bones(to make fake skeletons!), creep teeth(it has Creep right in the name!),
red dye(to make fake blood!), noodles(touching cold noodles is scary!)
Ivy>Whew! I'm glad that stuff is out of here. It was getting a little macabre.

IVY: Whew! I thought we were never going to get everything packed up.
It's nice having room to walk around here again!
Ruler: After seeing all of your hard work, I'm even more excited for Halloween!
IVY: Me too! I can't wait to start Trick-or-Treating. My costume is almost ready.
I wonder what everyone else will wear to the costume party...
Ruler: We'll find out soon--Halloween is right around the corner!

Ivy>I've got so many good costume ideas, but I can only wear one! You should go as a tomato? or maybe an ice cream cone. Or a cinnamon roll.
Spooky Times Ahead - Rest at Ivy's Hut (Let's talk about our costumes!)
Ivy>What do you have against food-themed costumes, anyways?

    C20 Halloween EVENT 2014(part 1)

    *at the Castle*
    *knock knock knock*
Ruler: Wha... Who could that be at this hour? It's so early.
Ivy? Is something wrong? And what in the world are you wearing?
    IVY: Trick or treat!
    Ruler: Wait... what?
IVY: Nothing's wrong, it's just never too early to start trick-or-treating!
This year, it's a race to get as much candy as possible, and I'm not wasting any time!
Ruler: What do you get for having a lot of candy, besides a stomach ache?
IVY: All kinds of things, but I've got my eye on a new cauldron. I hear it stirs itself!
Ruler: Ok, count me in -- what do I need to do?
IVY: First, let's get you into a costume!

Ivy> There are a lot of ways to get candy corn -- harvesting corn, fighting monsters, cooking it in the kitchens, and trick-or treating at everyone's houses here in the kingdom, just to name a few. The best way though, is to go trick-or-treating in costume! 1. Rise and Shine Rewards -have hat, mask, tiara, try on costumes(find one that fits!) Ivy>That fangbeast mask looks great on you!

IVY: We're all set, and that mask looks fantastic! Are you ready to go?
Ruler: I can barely see through this thing, but yes. Just stop me before I walk into anything.
I never thought I would be a fangbeast for Halloween...
IVY: Well this isn't your real party costume, silly. This is just so we can get started!
Ruler: Fair enough. Where are we going?
IVY: We can go out and do some trick-or treating, and be back in time for a late lunch!

Ivy>Going trick-or-treating will get us a lot of candy corn, and we might even get some paper decorations to use elsewhere in the kingdom. That cauldron is going to be mine -- I can't wait!
    2. Trick or Treat - go Trick-or-Treating (Complete the Adventure!)
Ivy>Wasn't that fun? And just look at all this candy!

IVY: So, while I've got you here, I was wondering...
...where do you want to hold the costume party? We need lots of room.
Ruler: Were you thinking of using the castle?
IVY: Yes, but I'm not sure it will have the right ambience.
We should build a Haunted Hall!
Ruler: That does sound like a good place for a Halloween party. Let's get started!

Ivy>If we build a special Haunted Hall for the party, we can make sure there's plenty of room for dancing, *and* we can make the decorations permanent! 3. A Spooky Setting - build a Haunted Hall(buy it from the market!) Ivy> I can't wait to see how spooky it is when it's done!

Ruler: The Haunted Hall looks like it's coming along well.
IVY: Yes! It'll hold all of our party guests, no problem.
It's time to start decorating, though, and I think I know what to use.
Ruler: What did you have in mind?
IVY: Some spooky parchment decorations should be just the thing.
We can put them up as we go, and then we won't have to hang them all when we're done!
Ruler: That's a good idea -- I wouldn't want to be up on a ladder, pasting bats to the rafters.

Ivy>We can get parchment bats and ghosts along with candy corn when we go trick-or-treating, and then come back here and glue them to the rafters. 4. Bats in the Rafters - upgrade Haunted Hall to lv.3 (Go on the Adventure for parts!)
Ivy>This place is looking eerier by the day!

*after collecting (2.Trick or Treat Adventure) from the Castle*
Ruler: I wasn't expecting to get so much candy corn from trick-or-treating.
IVY: Me neither! Our costumes were a big hit.
Ruler: Do you think people will come trick-or-treating in our kingdom?
IVY: Probably. It's a pretty popular activity right now.
Ruler: What if they visit while we're out, though? We should leave candy out for them.
IVY: We should put some jack o'lanterns full of candy out around our kingdom.
Then people will be able to take candy corn from it themselves!

Ivy>If you put out a jack o'lantern, you can come by every so often and take some candy corn out of it -- pretty convenient, if you ask me. Why don't you give it a try? 5. Candy Container (THIS GOAL IS OPTIONAL)

Old Thomas: Good afternoon, young ruler. Where are you headed on this fine fall day?
Ruler: To the kitchens. There's a sweet smell in the air that I don't quite recognize.
Old Thomas: Now that you mention it, I can smell it, too.
Is it syrup, perhaps? Or cider?
Ruler: There's only one way to find out!

    *at the kitchen*
Old Thomas: Hello, Miss Ivy. What confection are you preparing this afternoon?
IVY: Candy corn, of course! Can you give me a hand?
Ruler: Candy corn? Didn't we get enough of that earlier?
    IVY: We did, but...
    Ruler: But?
    IVY: I ate it.
Not all of it! Just enough that I need more to get that cauldron.

Ivy>The bag full of candy corn was just sitting there, and I couldn't resist. It's like it was calling to me! I won't eat any of what we cook, though, I promise! 6. Confection Creation - harvest corn(the main ingredient!), make Candy Corn (make it at the Kitchen!)
    Ivy>Mmmm... it looks so tasty!

Ruler: Hey, Ivy. You invited us over?
IVY: You're doing it wrong! You're supposed to say 'Trick or Treat'!
    *slam*
Ruler: Did she just... slam the door in our faces?
Old Thomas: That does seem to be what happened, yes.
Perhaps we should follow her instructions.
    *knock knock*
    IVY: Yes?
    Ruler: Trick or treat?
IVY: Almost perfect! But next time, show some spirit!
    *slam*
Ruler: Ok, we can give this one more try, but I'm sticking my foot in the door just in case.
Old Thomas: That does seem wise.
    *knock knock*
    IVY: Hello, friends!
    Ruler: Trick or treat!!!
IVY: You got it! Here, have some candy corn!

Ivy>You can't just trick-or-treat all willy-nilly -- you really have to do it with focus and passion if you want to get a lot of candy! 7. Once More with Feeling - Trick-or-treat at Ivy's Hut (Everybody smile!)
Ivy>The most enthusiastic trick-or-treaters get the most candy -- keep up the good work!

*after upgrading Haunted House to Lv.3*
IVY: Dance floor, check. Bats, check. Ghosts, check.
    Spooky as anything, check.
Ruler: This place looks great, Ivy! It's the perfect venue for a costume party.
IVY: Thanks! I can't help but feel like something is missing, though.
Ruler: Well, it *is* going to be pretty dark in here when the sun goes down.
IVY: Oh gosh, you're right! We need lights!
Ruler: Wasn't there a fancy chandelier available for collecting enough candy corn?
    IVY: There was! Thank goodness.
Trying to dance in an unlit, crowded room is the wrong kind of scary.

Ivy>Once we've got that chandelier, this place will be all finished, and we'll be ready to host our first annual Halloween costume party! Let's see if we have enough candy corn to get it. 8. Spook-tacular -upgrade Haunted Hall to Lv.5 (Earn the third individual prize!)
Ivy>I love it! Those candles provide the perfect spooky ambience.

    c20 Halloween EVENT (part2)

    Lady Griselda
IVY: Hi there, Lady Greselda! Are you coming to our party?
Lady G: Of course I am, dear. This is my favorite holiday, after all.
So many beautiful decorations to admire!
IVY: I came over to see if there was anything you needed help with for your costume.
Lady G: Hm, there *are* a few things that I could use.
If you would be so kind as to get them for me, I will provide a list.

Ivy>Well, I'm not sure what kind of costume she could possibly need all of these things for, but I'm not going to spoil the surprise by asking!1. An Unusual List
Ivy> I wonder if Lady Greselda will share the cake with me.

IVY: Lady Greselda, are you ready? I'm here to see your costume!
    Lady G: Why hello, dearie!
    IVY: EEEEEEEK!
When did this happen? *How* did this happen?
Lady G: Why, whatever do you mean?
IVY: Those clothes... You're a *bad witch*! You've gone evil, *again*!
Lady G: Oh this? No dear, I just thought it would be scary...
...and from the looks of things, I'd say I was right.
IVY: Whew! But wait... if this is your costume, what did you need all that stuff for?
Lady G: Those were things I thought I might find use for around my home.
I'll never turn down an offer of help, dear.

Ivy> Whew, she really had me going! In fact, I'm not sure it's smart to let the rest of the kingdom think Lady Greselda has gone bad. We need to warn them about her costume!
    2. Up to Old Tricks
Ivy>I think everyone is ready for what's coming -- I guess there is such a thing as 'too scary'!

    Sabina & Thurston
Ruler: Sabina, will you and Thurston be at the costume party?
Sabina: Of course we will! We will be attending as a noble and a knight.
Ruler: But won't that defeat the purpose of a costume party? You *are* a noble and a knight.
Sabina: No no, you see, *I* will be the knight, and Thurston will be a handsome prince!
Ruler: Handsome, hm? That?s a good idea. Where will you get your costumes?
Sabina: We hope that the theater may have some armor and a crown that we can borrow.

Sabina>I'm so excited about the costume party! Thurston is teaching me to talk like a real knight, but I still need more ladylike armor, and what's a prince without a crown? 1. Prince and Knight
Sabina>The armor and crown are perfect. I can't believe some of the props they have in there!

Ruler: Where are you headed, Thurston? Is that your crown?
Thurston: It is, but I have just been to visit the jewelers.
Several of the fake gems were improperly attached and have become lost.
Ruler: Do the jewlers think they can fix it?
Thurston: They have requested several items in return...
...but my crown will be ready for the celebration!

Thurston>I was uncertain about how proper it would be for a knight to impersonate royalty, but the Lady Sabina assures me that on Halloween, it is allowed.
    2. Costume Jewels
Thurston>They assure me that these stones will stay securely in place!

    Old Thomas & The Baron

The Baron: You, there! Old man! What are you doing?
OT: Considering my costume for the Halloween party.
There is going to be a contest, you know, and a prize as well.
The Baron: A prize, you say? As your king, I insist that you provide me with a costume!
OT: I believe I can arrange something...
...and your insistence has given me inspiration for my own costume, as well!

OT>I had not yet been inspired to craft any specific costume, but I think this idea I've just had is a good one. We need fur, but it does not have to be real.
    1. A Costume Fit for a King
OT>Splendid! That should be plenty of fur for our costume.

The Baron: I am here to pick up my costume! I hope you made it fit for a king.
OT: I certainly did. Here is your costume.
The Baron: But this is only a large pair of furry legs and... is that a tail?
What joke is this?! Where is the rest of the costume?
OT: I will be wearing the head portion of the horse! I tailored the hindquarters for you.
The Baron: I refuse to appear as the hind end of a horse!
OT: It is a shame you feel that way... but perhaps a small honorarium will persuade you.

OT>The price he asks is steep, but I feel that the memories will be worth it... along with the chance to show our neighbors the Baron's best side!
    2. A Costume Built for Two
OT>I can't remember the last time I had that much fun!

    IVY

Ruler: Hey, Ivy. Have you decided what you want to be for Halloween yet?
IVY: I sure have! I want to be a princess.
Ruler: Have you made your dress yet?
IVY: No, I don't have the right fabric. I was thinking of using a nice, royal purple.
Ruler: Are you going to make the cloth yourself?
IVY: Our neighbors owe me a favor for all those decorations. They'll give me the cloth!

Ivy>I'm going to have a beautiful long-sleeved dress, and a princess hat with a nice wide brim and a long flowing veil. It's all going to be a pretty shade of purple -- I can't wait, so let's get that fabric!
    1. Purple Princess
Ivy>That looks like plenty of fabric for my dress!

Ruler: Ivy, is that your princess costume? That purple is a little dark...
    ...really, it's almost black.
IVY: I know! It was supposed to look royal, but it's dark enough that it looks...
    Ruler: ...Witchy?
IVY: Yes, witchy. It's certainly not what I was planning.
But I'm not skipping the party. I guess it's time to grab a broom and make the most of it!
Ivy>Let's make some brooms. I'll take the one that looks the witchiest and bring it to the party, and we can use the rest to clean up the Hall afterwards!
    2. A little Witchy
Ivy>This broom looks perfect -- I wonder if it can fly!

    The Faerie Skunkhouse

Ruler: Hey, Ivy, what brings you by the castle? And whoa -- what is that *smell*?
IVY: Oh rats, I was hoping it wasn't too noticeable.
It's been so chilly at night this week, and Pepe doesn't like sleeping outside in the cold.
    Ruler: Oh, don't tell me...
IVY: Well, how could I just leave him out there shivering? That would be cruel!
So I let him into the house, but he does have a certain smell about him...
Ruler: I'll say. It sounds like the first step is going to be getting the smell out of your house.
IVY: I've got a potion in mind for that, but I'm going to need some help!

Ivy>The first thing we're going to need is essence of skunkupine, so that we have a scent to neutralize with our potion. After that, some magically fragrant Fellora Blossoms would mask the skunky smell!
    1. An Unfortunate Smell - use Desmelling Potion (Potion shop craft), and get Skunkupine Essence (from skunkupine)
Ivy>That potion is certainly an improvement over eau de skunkupine!

Ruler: Ivy's home smells a lot better for now, but she can't just use desmeller forever.
Thurston: As much as it pains me, she truly cares for the beast.
Ruler: You're right, Thurston. I don't think she's going to start having hem sleep outside.
Thurston: Perhaps we could provide her with an alternative.
Ruler: She did ask for a faerie skunk house one time...
Maybe if we got her a warm little home for the skunkupine, it could sleep there instead.
Thurston: Do you think that the faeries might have something suitable?
Ruler: Some of their structures are small enough, that's for sure.

Thurston>I believe I have a plan. Lady Sabina, please escort Miss Ivy to the Market so that the others can look around her garden for a place to keep the beast. I will journey to the Plume Hive to look for a suitable structure. 2. An Outdoor Abode (visit Market & Ivy's hut, adventure to Plume Hive)
Thurston>I believe I have found a perfect solution
    !

Ruler: Ok everyone, what did we find out?
OT: There is a good place for the structure in the garden behind Ivy's home.
Ruler: That's a good start -- we've got a place to put a skunk house. Thurston?
Thurston: The faeries have a structure that would be most suitable if it were furnished for the beast.
Ruler: Even better. Sabina, what about you?
Sabina: Ivy knows a *lot* about all of the plants at the market!
Ruler: I guess we already knew that.
Now let's go get that skunk house and give our friend a nice surprise!

Thurston>I have never understood Ivy's affection for this creature, but the fact that she cares for it is undeniable. The beast's new home should bring her much joy. 3. The Faerie Skunkhouse (buy & collect from skunkhouse) Thurston>What a touching scene!

    Ruler: Ok, is everything ready?
OT: Indeed. The structure has been placed in the garden, and Ivy and Sabina are returning soon.
Ruler: Great! I'm sure she'll be surprised...
...and glad to have somewhere besides her living room for her skunkupine to sleep.
    Here she comes!
IVY: Hi, everyone! What brought you by?
    Ruler: SURPRISE!
IVY: Oh gosh, everybody! Is that... did you get Pepe a little house?
It's *adorable*! Thank you so much!
Ruler: You're welcome! Now your house can go back to smelling like it used to.
IVY: It sure can! All I need to do is make sure the skunk house is comfortable enough.
Ruler: Comfortable enough? What do you think it needs?

Ivy>The ground is way too hard and cold for such a gentle creature -- let's line it with something soft. We can also make toys for Pepe to chew on that smell like fish -- I bet he'll love them!
    4. Animal Accomodations (Make Chew Toys at the Workshop & Wool for a pet bed)
Ivy>Let's see if we can get Pepe into his new home
    !

OT: Hello, Miss Ivy! We wandered by to see how your pet is adjusting to his new home.
IVY: Well, he likes to play in it, but I still can't get him to sleep through the night.
I put him to bed out here, and then wake up to him scratching at my door!
OT: Perhaps the skunkupine is having trouble falling asleep in its new surroundings.
IVY: Hey, maybe you're right! I like a snack and some warm milk before I go to sleep.
I think I'll try that with Pepe and see how it works.

Ivy>With some warm milk and a nice snack, maybe Pepe will finally be able to settle down in his new home. 5. Trouble Sleeping (give warm milk & breaded fish)
Ivy>Maybe now Pepe will be able to sleep!

Ruler: Good morning, Old Thomas! Are you headed to Ivy's too?
OT: I am. She was having trouble getting her pet to sleep in his new abode...
...so I am going to see how the creature is adjusting.
Ruler: Hey, what's that in her garden next to the skunkhouse?
    Is that...
OT: I do believe it is.
Ruler: Ivy brought some cushions and a blanket outdoors, and slept next to the skunk house.
OT: They both look to be resting peacefully. Should we wake her?
Ruler: Well, it's almost noon, so this is probably as good a time as any.

Ivy>Oh, hey there! Looks like I overslept a little. I couldn't think of anything else to do to make Pepe happy sleeping outdoors, but it turns out he wasn't cold at all -- he just wanted to sleep near his mama!
    6. Bringing up Baby (collect from faerie skunkhouse)
Ivy>Pepe's new home is just perfect for him!

    C20 Bountiful Table

Old Thomas: Oh! You surprised me!
Ruler: Hello, Old Thomas. Sorry about that.
OT: What called you to this side of the Kingdom?
Ruler: Nothing really. I was just thinking about our Thankful Feast.
Do you think this would be a good spot for our Kingdom dinner?
OT: I do not see a cause for unpleasantly.
You appear distressed. What is on your mind?
Ruler: I'm just thinking about how we could set this up.
    ...
Ruler: Old Thomas! Are those strawberries hiding in you sleeves?
OT: Oh dear, it seems you caught me berry handed?
I was hoping you wouldn't ask me what I was doing on this side of the Kingdom.

OT>A nice, big table will provide plenty of room for our friends to gather 'round and give thanks for all of the good things in our kingdom this year!
    1. The Bountiful Table - Build the Bountiful Table (find this in the Market!)
    OT>This is a good start!

Ruler: I'm glad we found a good spot outdoors to have our feast.
Old Thomas, can you help me find a cloth for our table?
OT: You needn't even ask! Though might I make a suggestion?
It has always been a tradition to make your own cloth for the feast table.
Ruler: Oh, I didn't know that. Would we have time?
OT: Indeed! I am always at your service. We will have one before the chickens roost!

OT>How do you feel about blue? And perhaps with a pattern imprinted on the cloth? Agnes would agree that would be quite festive!
    2. Traditional Stitching - Make - 3 Fresh Blue Dye (Mix it at the Potion Shop!), 3 Brand New Woven Cloth (Weave some at the Workshop!), 1 Holiday Tablecloth (Careful, this is quite delicate!).
OT>Ah, it is almost too beautiful to eat off of!

IVY: Hey, is this going to be the table for the Thankful Feast?
    Ruler: You got it!
IVY: Ooh, is there anything I can do to help set up?
    Anything food-related maybe?
Ruler: I don't think we're quite ready to set out food just yet.
OT: Ah, perhaps Miss Ivy could help us retrieve the candlesticks from the vaults.
IVY: I love rummaging around in the deep storage -- you always find such interesting stuff!
OT: Ah, one more thing! Oh... she's already gone.

OT>Oh dear, she took off immediately. I suppose even without directions to the box containing the candlesticks, she will find them eventually?
    3. Gone In 60 Seconds - Search the Vaults for Candlesticks (It's quite dark and may take a few tries!), Upgrade the Bountiful Table to Lv.2 (We'll have a candlelit feast!)
OT>Splendid! She came back with the candlesticks!

IVY: My quest is complete! I have returned with the candlesticks!
Ruler: That was kinda dramatic, but thanks Ivy. Where do we place the candles?
OT: Oh dear... it seems the candlesticks are tarnished.
I will head off to the Market to have them polished, and return forthwith.
Ruler: That sounds good, Old Thomas. I'll get started on the rest of the place settings.

    *At the cellar*
    IVY: COME BACK HERE, Pigley!
    Quick, stop him!
    Ruler: What is going on?!
IVY: Pigley decided to go on a rampage through our cellar...
You weren't... looking for plates, were ya?
Ruler: I actually came to get our banquet set for the upcoming Thankful Feast.
IVY: Yeah... you won't find any here. Not in on piece, anyhow.

Ivy>Whew... I was afraid I was going to have to answer questions about what a pig would want with our cellars. It's not like we keep food down there... I guess we'll just have to make new place settings this year.
    4. Pigley's Rampage- craft Fancy Silverware(For special occasions only!), make China Dishes(It's delicate - don't break it!)
Ivy>There's nothing wrong with new plates for a holiday party!

Ruler: So, what happened again with Pigley and the cellar?
    IVY: Oh. Yeah. That.
    Ruler: ...?
IVY: So... what happened was -- Old Thomas! You're back!
OT: Hello! I am back with polished candlesticks.
IVY: Ooh, that's a sparkler you got there.
You know... I learned how to make candles from my sis Belladonna.
OT: We could make our own candles. There are beehives in the trees around the kingdom.
IVY: Great idea! I'll go start looking for beeswax!
Ruler: Hey. Ivy! You still didn't tell me what happened!

Ivy>Phew, Old Thomas showed up at the right moment! There's no way I'm telling what reeeally happened. I mean, it wasn't even that bad, I just wanted him to drink this potion I made...
    5. A Candle Distraction - collect Honeycomb(from trees), make Candles(in the Workshop), Let's set the table!(upgrade table to Lv.3)
Ivy>I just wanted to see what would happen, ok?!

OT: Oh dear, what do we do about the feast?
We focused all of our efforts towards table setting.
Ruler: Hmm... we could make what we had last year.
IVY: No way! Let's try something new!
OT: What do you propose we make? Perhaps we should each prepare a dish?
IVY: Ooh, in that case, I will... see you all later.
OT: Miss Ivy, wait! We need to discuss who is in charge of the savoury and dessert dishes!

OT>I am going to prepare what Agnes made when we were both in school We were quite stubbon, hohoho. We stayed at school to study since everyone went home for the holidays! It is so much easier to study without distractions! 6. One Track Mind- gather Cranberries(ask neighbors), make Honey (from honeycomb in the Kitchen), find Large Roast Chicken (feed chickens)
OT>Do bear in mind this is not even close to Agnes' work!

IVY: I collected all of these delicious berries. I'm pretty sure they aren't poisonous!
    Ruler: ...Pretty sure?
IVY: Yep! I'm definitely, 100%, *probably* sure they aren't poisonous. Maybe.
I'm going to make my trademark Berry Jam! You two are going to love it!
OT: That sounds exquisite, Ivy! What kind of bread are you making to go with it?
IVY: Why would you need to eat jam with bread? I just dip my fingers in the jar!
OT: That may not be the most hygienic option for a group meal.
Why don't we make biscuits with the jam?
That's my favorite Thankful Feast treat!

Ivy>Hmm, we'll need some flour and water for the biscuits, plus the jam, and we'll need to clear some space on the table. 7. All Jammed Up- make Berry Jam(use the Kitchen), Something to eat the Jam on!(Make Biscuits and Jam), Upgrade table to Lv.4 (Looking good!)
Ivy>Wow, I've been eating jam wrong all these years!

Ruler: Ow! What did I just trip over?
There's a full-sized pumpkin in the soil! How did this grow so large?
IVY: Oh, I planted some pumpkin seeds a few months ago! Don't they look great?
Ruler: Um, they sure do, but... why didn't you clear the soil first before you planted the seeds?
IVY: I wanted it to be a surprise! Now, you can find a pumpkin whenever you harvest crops!
Ruler: Well, it *is* surprising! I guess I'll need to watch where I step now.
IVY: Once you harvest the pumpkins, I can make a pumpkin pie!

Ivy>The pumpkins are hiding somewhere in those crops! Just watch the ground while you harvest.
    8. Pie In The Sky- find Pumpkins(Harvest any crop!), make Pumpkin Pie(in the Kitchen!)
Ivy>This smells amazing! Say, could I just have a slice? Or six?

OT: Gather 'round, everyone! The Feast is ready to commence!
Ruler: I think we should all say a few words of thanks first before we start!
OT: That is a great idea!
IVY: I'm thankful I'm not a tree anymore! Sunlight is great, but it doesn't taste like pumpkin pie!
OT: That's quite the sappy sentiment!
OT: I'm thankful that we have so much delicious food! I've never seen such a bountiful feast!
Ruler: I'm thankful that I have such good friends to share our food with!
    OT: Hear hear!
    IVY: Hmmfff hmmmff!
Ruler: Ivy, did you just cram that entire pie in your mouth?
    IVY: ...Mmmbe?

Ivy>Now we just need to set the table and we can start eating! Well, most of us can, anyhow.
    9. Finishing Touches - It's finally ready! (upgrade to Lv.5)
Ivy>I can't possibly move an inch after eating all that food. I'm rooted to the spot!

12 Days of Christmas Part 1

    The Baron: *Ba ba BAAAA*
Here is: your handsome, wise, and well-liked ruler: Baron Pfeffernot!
Ruler: (Is he making trumpet sounds with his mouth?)
Baron: Subject! I call upon you to throw the most lavish Christmas celebration in all the land!
We shall spare no expense! Tales of my opulence must be spread far and wide!
Ruler: That's wonderful! I can't wait to see what you'll provide for the feast!
Baron: You shan't be waiting long, as YOU'LL be providing all of the accoutrements for this gala!
Here is a list of everything we'll need for the festivities. I know you won't disappoint! Ta-ta!
Ruler: Let's see? lords a'leaping? Calling birds? Where am I going to find all this stuff?
I better see if Old Thomas knows where to look.

OT>What seems to be the trouble? 1. 'Tis the Season - find Old Thomas(at his house)
OT>A Christmas celebration, you say? I shall put on my formal vestments
    !

Ruler: I just got a bunch of unusual requests from the Baron for our Christmas celebration.
Do you know where I can start looking for these things?
OT: Oh my, this is quite the list of demands! It should make for an excellent party, though!
Ruler: The music should be good! Which reminds me: we need to find some drummers!
    OT: That could prove difficult.
There are not exactly a lot of renowned drummers in the area.
    Ruler: Let's hold tryouts!
We'll visit other Kingdoms and find the most rhythmically gifted villagers!
OT: Well... that's a start, but villagers won't be able to provide their own drums.
IVY: I do have some coconuts that could be beaten together...
    Ruler: Where'd you get coconuts?
    IVY: I found them!
Ruler: In this kingdom? Coconuts are tropical!
Anyhow, we should be able to make some drums in the Workshop.

OT>Gather hide and wood! Let us commence our percussion production!
    2. Kingdom's Got Talent - find Drummers (visit other kingdoms), give Festive Drums(Workshop)
Ivy>I still think the coconuts were a good idea.

OT: Next, we need to find 11 pipers piping. Pipes are made from a special kind of wood.
Ruler: I bet Ivy would know where to find it!
Ivy, do you know where we can find wood to make pipes?
IVY: Sure! Though, I don't think you two should take up smoking. It's not a healthy habit.
Ruler: Oh, no, I meat the musical instrument.
    IVY: So did I!
    Ruler: ...
Well, we just want to be able to play music. Do you know where we can find the wood?
IVY: Of course! You need to find Living Wood. As a former living tree, I'm an expert.

Ivy>Look in the forest for more Living Wood! Just don't cut down any of my friends!
    3. Pipe Dreams - Hand out Holiday Pipes(made in Workshop)
OT: Ah, this will sound wonderful!

OT: Let's invite nobles. The Baron wants plenty of lords and ladies to lick the royal boot.
Ruler: Not just any lords... *leaping* lords. Old Thomas, do you know any lords who leap?
OT: I'm afraid not; most lords I know are fairly stationary.
IVY: I've got an idea! We'll just invite 10 normal lords, and we'll make them leap!
    Ruler: What do you mean?
IVY: Well, what else likes to leap? Grasshoppers!
Let's collect some to motivate the lords!
OT: Grasshoppers are not known for their motivational s****s.
IVY: Once, a grasshopper jumped into the back of my robes. I was hopping like mad!
Ruler: So, the plan is to find some grasshoppers and put them down Lords' shirts?
    This could be pretty fun!

OT>You can usually find grasshoppers hiding in ferns! Pick out some lively ones!
    4. Look Before You Leap- dig up Ferns(grasshoppers hide in ferns),
Invite Lords & Ladies to the Gala (the more the merrier!)
Ivy>Now those lords won't stop hopping 'til they drop!

Baron: If it isn't my loyal subject! How are the preparations for my celebration coming?
Ruler: Pretty well! I'm down to 'Eight Maids-a-Milking'.
I wanted to ask you about that. We already have plenty of milk in the kingdom.
Is there a reason you wanted more milkmaids?
Baron: It's about the ambiance! The prestige!
Nobles will be coming from kingdoms far and wide.
    I can't look like a two-cow operation!
Ruler: Why would nobles be so concerned with the number of milkmaids you have?
Baron: Don't trouble yourself with the affairs of nobles.
Leave that to important people like myself.

Baron>Eight milkmaids should do the trick, so long as they work full-time with no breaks!
    5. Dairy Developments - give Milk Pails(Magic Forge), hire Maids a'Milking
Baron>Those nobles will quake in fear once they see my impressive dairy operation!

IVY: Good news! You don't need to worry about collecting swans for the Christmas celebration!
I already took care of it! See, they're standing right over there!
    Ruler: Um, over where, Ivy?
IVY: Right over... oh. Well, I can tell you where they were, if that helps!
Swans do enjoy swimming! I'd check the ponds - that's most likely where they'll be.
Ruler: Great! But I don't wand to find them just to lose them again.
We'll need to build some sort of enclosure to keep them from running off.

Ivy>Those cunning swans. They're craftier than they look. But they won't outsmart me!
    6. Swans on the Lam - royal beams (for the Swan Enclosure),collect Swans a'Swimming from ponds.
Ivy>Don't worry, I've got my eye on those swans! They won't escape again!

Baron: Have you been able to acquire the six geese for the Christmas feast?
I've been looking to show off my brilliant Goose Egg Omelette recipe!
Ruler: I had no idea you cooked!
Baron: I don't! But there's a splendid recipe in the library I need you to copy down.
Ruler: So, how is it your recipe then?
Baron: Don't be impudent. I rule the kingdom, and the library is in the kingdom.
Therefore, the library and all its contents are mine!

Ruler: I don't have them yet, but Old Thomas said that they like to eat corn and wheat.
Maybe if I harvest some crops, the geese will turn up!
Baron: Excellent! You're really going places!
Specifically, you're going to the library. Chop chop!

Baron>Well? Don't you have a Goose Egg Omelette recipe to retrieve?
    7. Your Goose Is Cooked - get Geese, take goose eggs to Market(will anyone buy them?),
research Goose Egg Omelettes(at the library)

Baron> Come back next week for more Christmas quests!

12 Days of Christmas Part 2

The Baron: Have gathered materials to craft the five Golden Rings yet?
The gold you use must be unblemished!
    Resplendent! Awe-inspiring!
Ruler: Finding materials shouldn't be hard. But I need to know what size to make the rings.
Baron: Ah yes, of course! Be delicate. *Holds out hand*
Ruler: I assumed these rings were for our guests...
Baron: They are! Our guests would be disappointed if their host resembled a pauper.
Ruler: I'm surprised you're not having me make ten Golden Rings.
Baron: Of course not! Don't be daft. Where would I put my five Diamond Rings?

Baron>I need those rings to be ready by the feast! Each one more golden than the last.
    1. Lord of the Bling- GIVE 5 Golden Rings (magic forge craft)
Baron> Ah yes. Magnificent. I've got the Midas touch - or, as they'll soon call it, the Pfeffernot touch.

Ruler: WOAH! Ivy, help me put out this fire!
IVY: No, it's fine! This is just my plan in action to attract the four calling birds!
Ruler: You're calling birds with *fire*?
IVY: Sure! I figured I didn't have a loud enough voice to call birds from very far away.
But smoke signals can be seen for miles!
Birds from all over will flock our way!
Ruler: I don't think birds can understand smoke signals.
IVY: Well, maybe they'll be curious and fly over anyway!
Ruler: Are there a lot of animals that run *toward* fire?
    IVY: Hmm...
...maybe we should find some water.
Ruler: Good idea. After that, we might be able to find some info on bird calls in the Library!

Ivy>OK< but if we don't learn anything at the Library, we can use the books for more kindling.
    2. Five-Alarm Bird Call- Learn a Winter Bird Call at the Library, Get 4 Calling Birds (Chop Trees until you find them)
Ivy>I'm going to hold a smoke signal seminar for the birds in the forest. Problem solved!

Old Thomas: I bring good tidings! Worry not about the French Horns; I have procured three!
Ruler: French... horns? But Old Thomas, we're supposed to get three French Hens!
OT: Oh, but... oh. Dear me.
We are not short on hens, but French hens? It will be costly to import from France.
IVY: That's no problem! Je parle Francais!
Ruler: You speak French? That's great, but I don't see how that will help us with the hens, Ivy.
IVY: It's simple! We teach the hens French, and then we won't need to import new ones!
Ruler: But how are you going to teach hens French?
IVY: Pas de probleme! I also speak Hennese!
Gather round hens - lesson one! Cluck, cl-cluck-cluck, cluck, chirp cluck, cluck?
    Ruler: Um, Ivy... ?
IVY: Please, I'm teaching! It'll take a while, but I'll have these hens speaking French in no time!

Ivy>You'll want to speak French to the hens often. Repetition and immersion are key.
    3. The French Connection- give French-educated hens(keep collecting from them until it clicks!)
    Ivy> These hens have im-peck-ible language s****s!

Ruler: We're nearly through the Christmas list! Next, we need to find two turtle doves.
After all the things we've tracked down so far, this should be a piece of cake!
    OT: Don't be so sure!
Turtle doves are very romantic birds. They'll only travel in pairs if they're deeply in love!
Ruler: How hard could it be to find two turtle doves who are soulmates?
OT: Awfully difficult, actually. Some turtle doves spend their entire lives searching for a mate.
Ruler: We don't have that long! Christmas is almost here!
OT: Do not trouble yourself. We simply need to create the right romantic conditions!

OT>Let us set the mood with flowers, and attract the birds with birdseed! They will flock to us!
    4. Lovey Dovey-give winter birdseed (from corn), (Search among your flowers) provide Turtle Doves.
OT>We are quite the matchmakers! It seems birds of a feather flock together.

Ruler: Ivy and I have looked everywhere, and there are no pear trees to be found!
OT: That makes sense; I do not think pear trees can grow in our kingdom's climate.
Ruler: But we're so close to finding everything on our Christmas list!
IVY: We can at least find a partridge! If they can't find a pear tree, any fruit tree will do.

Ivy>There's bound to be a partridge around here somewhere! Maybe a whole family!
    5. The Partridge Parcel - Deliver 1 Partridge (Chop & tend trees)
Ivy>We found one! Finally, our Christmas list is complete!

The Baron: Thank you, good sir! I'm pleased you're enjoying my party.
Oh, my compliments, gentle lady! Yes, yes, I've spared no expense!
Ah, my young pupil! I see you've done a satisfactory job at throwing together my soiree.
Ruler: Yes, the party seems to be going very well!
Speaking of, since our kingdom, put this party together?
...can we share in the Christmas celebration?
The Baron: Plebians at my promenade? I wouldn't think of it!
Ruler: We did all the work! We even spent all the money on the decorations!
We're prepared to fight for our right to party!
The Baron: *Sigh* I suppose you could join us at the feast...
    IF you prepare it first.
I also expect you to keep quiet while your betters are speaking.

Baron>Fetch the food for the feast, and a party you shall have!
    6. A Festive Feast - prepare a new Hearty Feast (the guests are hungry) and Bring everything to the Tavern (It's going to take a few trips!)
Baron>I suppose one generous act won?t **** me - but I expect you all to keep quite about it!
Receive A Pile of Gifts from The Baron.
