I have seen some speculation that color rules changed. As for beating a tough opponent, if your nest is empty switch to the Baby Fire strategy. You can hatch in 10 seconds (only cost 100 coins), battle, and if you win he's there to use again. If you lose, sell him, hatch another, and collect gold from him until time for next battle. Gives you a 10% chance to win each time, is cheap, and keeps the line for the spa short.

So... Just a general question... The suggestions of colors to use or avoid when battling an opponent seem to change from tournament to tournament.... In the Phoenix tournament, for example, pink was considered a "good choice" against "yellow", yet in the guide on page 12 here, pink is NOT considered a "good choice". Do the colors change or are these simply a refinement of past beliefs or perhaps simply different opinions...?

I'm stuck on Topaz. I defeated it fairly easily with night elf, blackswan and Super in the past, yet have lost a slew of dragons to it today.... (Including those three).....

I have used no gold, and don't have any diamonds, mythic, Dino, etc.

I definitely recommend using the "Baby Brigade" Technique if an opponent has taken out 3-4 of your good dragons. I was about to use it on Stainglass but Air came thru for me.

Same problem: no diamonds, mythic, Dino, etc.
But I'm stuck with this stupid big bad.
I'll try Fire 1 next. Tks for the advise.
