This "update" was announced back in April or May I think. MHz_ left Storm8 a long time ago, and no one told us. And for whatever reason, the people he was working with on this update couldn't (didn't want to) finish his update.

I would think. But I also would've thought a Community Manager would post within this thread that MHz_ left Storm8, which they didn't.
