My level I Fire has so far not won anything. But I'm waiting for some guidance on the Meteor too.
Meanwhile breeding seems more fun.

Yesterday I ****ed a tropic (Turtle) with a lvl1 forest. At night, I ****ed a Gladiator with a lvl1 fire (just woke up and didnt wanted to check color guide, just used a fire and won).

Got a lvl 10 turtle again. Now my Hero (lvl1 green, that won over the other one) lost, but I keep trying with others.

An advice: now if I breed a dragon which I dont wanna keep (commons), I do not sell it from the nest like I did b4, but sending in battle, and selling only after it loose.
