Thread: Bakery Story Neighbors and etiquette

  1. #691
I once saw someone asking a level 99 Why thier bakery was small and undeveloped. Because that's how they want it, you walnut. lol I checked out her wall to see if her comments got any better than that and she's majorly pushy when it comes to gifting and tipping. Now I tip and gift everyday and only have 61 friends but lord I would never be that greedy.

People need to remember that not all of us are at home and complete shutins, and also just because it's the interwebs to be the people that Mr. Rogers wanted us to be. XD

Also I would love some more neighbots to tip if you're game for adding me.

After reading this thread well, there's passionate people about this game, lol. I have like 22 active neighbors and my only policy is they have to be 3 or 4 star. I'm a 3 star and well sometimes my rating lows but I'm a busy person, still I always try to be a 3 star. I'm in medicine school so in the weeks I've got tests I don't play and I do post in my wall that I won't be playing. Still it happened that a neighbor stopped playing for a a long while, months actually and I didn't delete her, she didn't say why until I asked her when she returned, then she started playing again and I was inactive for a week 'cause tests and she deleted me! For a week I couldn't play!

Also I'm always looking for new neighbors 3 or 4 star I'm level 95.

I'm a 4 star and love tipping and gifting. I'm due to have a baby at the end of July but other than that I won't dissapear. That's awful that she removed you. We can't all be complete antisocialists who stay in bed all day. ROFL

What really baffles me is when neighbors delete me for not tipping! I specifically said that I DO NOT tip daily. I literally, accept part requests daily and gift daily. Why would anyone add me if they saw that I said I don't tip and then delete me a few weeks/months later for not tipping??????? The absolute worst are the people who are demanding. I'm sorry that in real life I'm actually busy and can't babysit the game all day..

Btw can someone please tell me why tipping daily and having a high star rating are so important? There are other ways of checking if a neighbor is inactive, see if they are baking...

I saw on a wall that a person would delete neighbors if they were absent from the game (sick or vacation) "without consent."

Had a good laugh at that.

I probably fall into the semi-strict area when it comes to etiquette, but I had a horrible experience on BS today that I want to share.
I had gone to tip in the community (non-neighbors) cuz i'm like that when I have time. I am a good neighbor to have. Well, visiting one person, I saw their friend complaining how none of her neighbors reciprocate, she spent 3 hours tipping and gifting and nothing etc..etc.. . I felt bad for her so I tipped her and posted . "I saw you complaining about bad neighbors. You need a friend like me. Quality always wins over quantity"

Well, she went ballistic and was mad that I read her wall conversation and was oddly stuck on the fact that she did not complain to her neighbors on their boards, how dare I.. blah blah blah..basically went on a tangent.

That was followed by her turning down a request from one person on my wall, that also decided to give her a chance at friendship, proceeded to her threatening this poor friend to the point of tears and basically stalking her and I and saying she is taking screenshots and going to report us. Anyhow..I havent checked my phone lately but it was so not worth trying to do a good deed. ugh! Anyhow..just to be safe, is there a place to report such behavior from a user? She clearly has issues and needs help or monitoring when on the computer. ;(

Oh my!!!! You can send your user ID and hers or her bakery name as well as as a screen shot of your wall and her comments. I'd PM a mod maybe Kooky Panda and she can tell you if you need to send to someone else. I'm sorry your good deed was such an awful experience!

wow people be cray cray....Sometimes i see crazy posts like these when i visit community members then i would read the 'fights" among the neighbors by reading their posts out of shear boredom just to amuse myself. People are just plain nuts in this game sometimes... Im glad i haven't encountered this problem lol. Though i had ONE neighbor that told me she would delete me if i didn't post on her wall so in return i deleted HER pronto! I don't like demanding neighbors. Most of my neighbors are pretty low key which is what i like. The only time i delete anybody if i see they are not playing for long periods of time and i try to keep 30 neighbors now instead of 50+. That way i know i have active neighbors around goal time.
