No it did not cost gems..... it has never been a gem purchase ....it was part of the Valentine quest of 2013

It doesn't seem quite fair that just because I didn't start playing soon enough, I am not able to craft an allicorn, rather have to spend 600 gems to buy one, all because I don't have a Love Shack. I totally understand not offering us the quest line (it would seem rather odd) but at least make the shack available to buy in the market. I would really like to have a couple allicorns, but can't bring myself to justify spending 600 gems a piece on something that only drops 40 energy once/week.
