    Bull Horn Arena - Levels 433 - 438 (Region 73)

    ~

Nothing on the TL Blog about this island, and it hasn't been added to the JM Regions Master thread yet, either. So these are just screenshots from my phone:

Wow, Bean Dog looks awesome as a matador. I hope he's triumphant...that bull looks incredibly fierce! Not to worry. The spectacle at the arena's only part of the fun you'll enjoy on this island of Jewel Mania!

    ~*~*~

Note: The screenshots are from the Halloween version of Jewel Mania (1.1.9,) in case you're wondering about the Jack o' lantern...or why Bean Dog looks like Elvis!

Level 433: Clear 46 glass in 35 moves. There is a two-headed snake at the bottom with single glass under its heads. Most of the other glass is doubled. There are doom jewels with 15, 20, 25 and 30 counts and additional 10 count ones fall in as you go.

I don't think it's as hard as it looks but be careful not to **** the snake too soon and have a doom jewel fall in there. That's what got me the first round I played it.

Level 434: Dig 8 meters in 1:35. There are lots of boarded crates, restricted black and white jewels and super dirt. I didn't combine the pics below, but you get the idea.

This level was fun just be sure not to blast the super dirt next to the restricted white blocks. I ended up with restricted super dirt, which was a pain to get rid of. So if time allows try to free up the restricted ice first, then go after the super dirt.

Level 435: Clear 28 glass in 45 moves. You have to unlock the L&C to get to most of the glass, some of which is under black jewels (those are double). There is additional glass under some of the crates. 10 count doomies fall in as well.

I played this one a couple rounds so far and have only had one or two glass squares left and they were never in hard to reach places.

Level 436: 14 fires in 35 moves. There are crates and 15 count doom jewels. Additional doomies with a 10 count fall in as well.

Finally made it through with a bomb and blaster combo near the bottom. Sometimes I refreshed to start with a round that will knock out at least one of the doom jewels, but I don't know that it helped much.

I've been using these threads to help me a long since probably around level 100-something. It's strange going through and not being able to read other people's thoughts on what worked and what didn't. At the same time it's kind of nice because I get to figure it out myself.

Level 437: Extinguish 16 fires in 30 moves. 4JC. There are plenty of double and triple boarded crates blocking off the fire at first. It's pretty easy to make special blasters, bombs and diamonds. I was able to swap a diamond and a blaster at one point, but the fire just spread back up. So far I've tried it three times and have never gotten rid of the crates on the side. I assume clearing them will help but I get so focused on keeping the fire at bay.

Got through level 347 without clearing the side crates. Since it's easy enough to make special jewels I got lucky and was able to to make two bomb + blaster combos which took out all but two fires. That also created a diamond which took out the last two flames. The level was al little stressful, but overall fun.

Level 438: Clear 27 glass in 40 moves. 5JC. There are doom jewels with 30 and 35 counts. I haven't noticed any additional falling in, which is nice because they're in every other glass/fire level on this island. The entire right side is glass as well as the bottom left corner. Under the crates and black restricted jewels there's glass as well. Even with the 5 jewel colors it isn't too hard to make special jewels, which you need to do to clear the black restricted jewels and get to the glass. Fun level.

So 438 is easy to makes bombs, blasters and diamonds. I eventually got through by swapping a diamond and bomb. The right side is easier to clear than I would have thought. Once you blast away the bottom falling jewels do a good job at clearing the top glass. Also, I think the doom jewel times are high enough there's not too much or a risk of one exploding. I played this one a few times and never had that problem.

I didn't have great scores for this island so I have to go back and get more stars, but then it's off to Desert Circus

Nice job! I know what you mean. I first discovered this forum around level 90-something, and I always had someone posting before me, as well. When they stopped, I had the same feeling (missing the info--and the company!--but I admit it was fun "being the first" & figuring things out for myself...)

I still have my screenshots from when I played these levels. I'll check them, see if they changed anything. I also kept some notes, at least on some of the levels. I'll take a look, see if there's anything worth adding...
