Question about mithril

Is there a way to make mithril? If so, what storyline do I need to complete?

Found: deep mine, dark cave formation, Sir Pigglesworth, Jeweller Trade (rare)
Uses: goals: Secrets of mithril, Forging Excalibam, The Magic Scissors,
Goal: Cracking the Case (creating the whisperweight net)
Goal: Cave Rich In Culture (upgrading Faerie Respite to level 3)
Goal: Enchanted Minerals (crafting enchanted mithril for the Glimmergate Key)
Requirements: 50 silver after receiving 4th knowledge shard

If you have the gems, buy a mithril dragon. In addition to dragon scales and other dragon drops, it will drop mithril (I forget, one or maybe occasionally even more than one ingot) every single time.

I've been maxed out on mithril close to forever now...

I didn't understand the response...what quests do I have to complete to earn the ability to make mithril in th forge?

You need the fourth knowledge shard, you get this from tapping the tabernum, the large stonelike thing you cant store, its a random drop, once you have this alchemy shard and do a research quest which appears after the shard has dropped, the craft will open in the forge.

Have you expanded to Thurston? I believe it's part of his goal line, goal #18

This thread post #37 explains about the four knowledge shards dropped from the tablet of tabernum needed to make mithril in the forge. For me at least it's a loooong wait between shard drops.

Thank you all for your responses. I spent 400 gems only have 40 left now!) on the dragon and will look into the knowledge shards

I had loooong waits before the first shard, and then until the second and third ones... but then the fourth shard dropped only 3 days after the third! I actually ended up completing the requirements for the fourth shard before the third!

i guess im gonna have to buy that dumb mithril dragon cuz my mines sir piggy and adventures never bring any mithril back to me. ive been stuck at 1 mithril for months now.
