Does anyone know if this will be an ongoing drop? I got some from an adventure, built Excalibam and only then got the Secrets of Mithril goal. I don't care if I have to keep mining/questing to get another, but I want to make sure it is possible.

I got one from a mine. Another neighbour finished the 4th (?) tabernum research goal. She can now craft mithril in her magic forge.

You can also get them from a dark cave formation (which you get from adventures).

I can craft it now I have quite a few shards although in my other game not even one shard despite umpteen rotations. Any ideas?
The rotation things not working for me at the moment. Haven't been able to think of anything else that might help. Guess we'll just have to keep crossing our fingers before collecting.
