    Breeding stats -UPDATED FINAL RESULTS

39 attempts, no diamond. Breeding Landworm (Fire, Earth) and Seabreeze (Air, Water) since Nov 4.

    By percentage

    By number

    Rarity over time: 1=Common, 2=Rare, 3=Super Rare, 4=Ultra Rare

This is the only actually interesting result to me. A simple Punnet Square of the parent elements. It results in a nearly 25/25/25/25% breakdown when the "alternate" combinations are substituted in for Fire/Water (which has only 2 dragon options, Athletic or Magic). I don't really think there is any significance to it, just surprised by the neatness of the breakdown, which appears to not be affected by rarity.

Possibly of interest as well, the element breakdown of only the Rares (excluding Magic)

I was intending to breed for one month and then quit the game if I didn't get a diamond. Now I'm kicking around the idea of breeding perhaps until I reach 50 attempts (so, approximately one month) and then performing the same experiment but with Fire/Air versus Water/Earth. I'd also be interested in running Fire/Water vs Air/Earth, but I sold the one Athletic I ever got because I don't like them. Anyway, not sure yet if I'll continue, it's pretty discouraging to have been playing so long and never get a diamond, as many of you know well.

Wow, the charts are so pretty what program did you make them in? I'm also going to breed mostly one pair, and I want to make some pretty charts afterwards, too. I'm sorry that you didn't get a Diamond, though... Strangely enough, I got mine with Firestorm/Island... I used to think that was the most boring pair ever, it didn't seem Diamond-worthy don't worry, you'll get there too one day ~~~~

Very nice. Thank you for posting your results. I am trying to do this now with Wizard/Fairy hoping for Infinity. My problem is I am too scatterbrained to stick with one pair for more than 4 or 5 attempts. I am missing twenty dragons and its ****ing me not to randomly try for them all. I have to stick with this pair and hopefully knock off Parakeet, Mermaid, Atlantis, Clown, Familiar. and Aurora. It's really my best bet for the majority of the dragons I am missing I guess.

Great job, excellent stat count, just wondering why you went with those 2 dragons? water/fire adds the one extra breeding result that you may not want.

I got wild a couple of times, sold most of them, but I bred a life dragon and then bred a second light dragon with the same two dragons used on the first, then I bred my two life dragons and got a 2nd generation life and bred that with forest and out popped my first rare.

Awesome ! I'm such an excel nerd myself I want to start my own ! I need to pick a pair that can yield the most dragons i don't have... I will start by that A cool chart of missing dragons and what elements I need on both sides to maximize the chances of good outcome

vanillaheaven - they are just the standard charts made in Excel. maybe i'll try the firestorm/island again- i did it for about a week back in july.

horntail - yeah i get scattered too, i think the longest i've tried the SAME pair before this was a week and a half, always with at least 4 elements to qualify for diamond, but wasn't recording results very well. i figure, if i'm going to quit, i'm going to actually try the same pair for a month, and if i don't get it, then i can have official record of trying.

oh and about missing dragons --- my album shows 13 missing that i have already bred and sold because they're ugly. i should get credit for those!!!

Takio - I went with them because they are both Ultra Rare, and I thought it might increase my chances (obviously, wrong).

texcatlo - how long have you been playing/ what level are you? as you level up and time passes, some of the rarer ones just happen by chance out of pure odds. when you breed at least once a day for five consecutive months, the odds are that you'll get them (but not a diamond for me, apparently)

Dragonolic i to wondered if that would make a difference thank for putting that theory to rest. I would like you to also record the time you breed. I have found that it has made a difference for me when breeding the same pair also the side you place the dragon on, but again great job.

Sorry, I meant they are both Super rare, not Ultra. Had diamond on the mind

What do you mean record the time I breeding? How many days it takes or at what time of day they start (it's hard enough for me to remember to record the types, that level of detail is beyond me).
