Since it won't let me feed the blob I went ahead and feed the tree rex monster and it let me feed him

I tried moving my blob to a new habitat incase it was that coz I couldn't feed him after buying the upgrade but it still processed after I feed him giving me back my food.

After I bred him I was able to feed him

I had the same issue today, wanting to feed my Lv. 4 Goo monster. The first 4 feedings towards level 5 worked fine, I had 21 food left and it needed 18, so I fed it to level 5. It worked and the monster seemed to grow a little in size (there was a tiny animation), however, then the loading screen came up and now my Goo is at level 4 with 4/5 feedings again, and instead of the 21 food I -should- have left, I have 13, which isn't enough to feed it. What the deuce?

And it happened again, this time from level 5 to 6... it's now happening every time I try to give it that 5th feeding.

I don't consider re-installing the game an optimal solution.

couple of questions:
What device are you playing on?
When you come into the game after being away, are you directly going over to feed a monster? If so, try visiting a neighbor first to make sure your game has synced with the servers.

Standard ipad with ios 5.1.1 - and the issue only happened with the goo monster thus far. At least the last few times it didn't steal my food.
It has stopped for now though.

Yes it happens every now and then. I finally got the blue blob up tp a level 8 and then it would reset and could not feed it any more so I move on for now and feed other monsters I have not feed the blue blob for days
