Have you done the usual? Force close or delete and reinstall?
I've bred that combo with no issues before
Will I lost everything when I reinstall?

Most probably your device lost connection when you start breeding. It happen to me a few times on my iPad Wifi. I didn't realize it lost the WiFi signal and the breeding doesn't show the progress bar. I just close the app and reopen again.
I have the same problem with the magic and the water dragon. I close the app and turn off the iPhone and if I start the iPhone and the app, the problem still exists.
I took my courage and deleted the app and reinstalled it! And now it works! Thank you!
