    Dragon Tales 12/19/23: Winter Wonderland

    Hello Neighbors,

Here are the simplified directions to complete the new Winter Wonderland Dragon Tales event, the second for the holiday month of December. Not only are the chapters and acts listed, I also put in the supplies needed and how many times the Jovial Dragon has to be sent on missions. I hope it helps all of you to get the Ornamental Dragon. With no further ado, here's the chapters and I divided them up by levels.

Note: You can level up the Jovial, Bibelot and Chaplet Dragons to their required levels early and they will count. For most players Jovial needs to be at level 14, Bibelot to level 12 and Chaplet to level 6.
***If you are below level 80, then look at your level listing to see required levels for your dragons.***

Note: You can breed Chaplet Dragon early (breed yellow and white) and it will count when asked in Chapter 6. **Unfortunately, the dreaded 24 hour Sunrise Dragon is among the possibilities again. S8, please reduce the time on the dragon, change the classification of this dragon to Rare or discontinue this dragon altogether.

Note: For anyone who has difficulty breeding the common dragon for Dragon Tales events, you can skip the acts where that dragon is required for a total of 112 Gold.

Note: In a bit of shock, I got the Chaplet Dragon on the second try on my main account with Albino Peacock and Air after a Leopard fail.

Note: The Chaplet Dragon egg to look for is below:

Note (To Storm8/Stillfront Designers): I really don't want to sound over critical but I must say the dragons for December 2023 were less than impressive. The color elements were pretty much the same thing for all of the dragons (red, yellow, green and white) and it was just boring. No dragons with pink, black, arcane, shine and purple? That's crazy. Most of the dragons had the same elements that didn't make them unique and were a waste of time on islands lacking space. Here are a few examples:
Holiday, Blue, White: Crisp, Nick and Snow
Holiday, Red, Green: Assistant and Gift
Holiday, Red, White: Knit, Kringle, Trinket and Rein
Holiday, Green, Yellow: Festoon and Jovial
Holiday, Green, White: Saint and Legacy
Holiday, Yellow, White: Honored and Chaplet

Note: Take a look at your Dragon Tales directions split by level. If you have any problems with missing markers, etc, please contact Storm8 Support through this link. https://support.storm8.com/hc/en-us. They're available Monday - Friday 10am-6pm PDT (Pacific Daylight Time)

While I don't care a whole lot about elemental types ( I care to some degree, but not a ton), the dragons just aren't that cute, unique, or appealing. Sorry to the artist. We have had some really cool dragons over the last few months, and I always expect the holidays to be extra special, but these are just "meh." The habitats have been super cute, though! Wish I hd room for duplicate habitats.

It took me nearly 20 attempts to breed Honored for the last Tales event, so how do I kick off this one?

    Of course.

It threw me off actually, how similar the Honored and Chaplet eggs are. Thought I got lucky on the common Tales dragon for once.

My beef with the holiday dragons is the lack of a habitat you can buy with coins instead of gold. I just wanna be able to stick them in their own habitat without having to pay for it

It seems like there has been a bit of complacency going on in December. The similar designs of Honored and Chaplet eggs and the fact that they both required that horrible yellow/white breeding are examples. I hope January and 2024 comes with a fix to the lockouts and more creativity put into this game. The Dragon Tales/Other Event I will not name are way past stale. We need new events.

Such bs! We just had a 4 hour common yellow and white. Now we have another one. So far I've had multiple 24 hour Sunrises and now I got a 4 hour Honored Dragon from the last Tales. Not worth it!!!!

    Of course.

It threw me off actually, how similar the Honored and Chaplet eggs are. Thought I got lucky on the common Tales dragon for once.
Oh, just saw your post after I made mine! I usually read previous comments first. Same thing for me! I got excited for a minute, then found out it was the wrong dragon. UGH!

They supposedly just released a "new event type" in Castle Story, but it is really just a hybrid of 2 current event types. Nothing really new. I'm glad that we have Dragon Tales over Xmas instead of a leaderboard because I don't have to pay that close of attention to a Tales event.

Don't even get me started on Fantasy Forest. I wouldn't even call it complacency - I would call it completely not paying attention to what they are doing. Too many mistakes and foibles to list, and not relevant to this thread. Maybe they are trying to mix up the sales and things over there, I don't know. But it seems like someone is asleep at the wheel and doing weird things - not following any of the previous formula that we had there for years.

I checked out Fantasy Forest Story and they all but gave up on the game. It was a time where it was just like Dragon Story with Dragon Tales and their version called Storybook were going on at the same time. They also kept World Events in FFS going longer than DS until they decided to do events once maybe every 3 months until they just stopped doing new things on it altogether. It's sad because that game had so much potential along with how Dragon Story has potential. The creativity is needed to make both games realize their potential and the money that will come with it.

Been trying to breed Chaplet for almost a week. When day 6 hit, I popped a 10x hatch and a 10x breed boost. After failing 30 times and spending way more for speeding up breed/hatch than skipping the quest, I'm giving up on this one.
