Hey there! In order to receive all the new Hot Rod decorations, you will have to have downloaded and played it. Other than that, you can play with either version. :)
Is hot rod cafe the newest restaurant story game? We don't get notified for updates for android so I never know if I am working with the most up to date version until I see new parts being requested by neighbors or new decor in my neighbors restaurants
The latest version is 1.5.5.9. You can search "Restaurant Story" in Google Play. Hope this helps. :)
