cant use food gifts

Hi. My problem is that I can not use the gifts of food my neighbors send. I can accept them but when I click to " use gift" it only shows construction parts and nothings else. I use a Motorola milestone android. Can anyone he

You cannot place the material gifts. To use these, you will need to buy and place a appliance or item to build, then when you tap on that item it will tell you how many parts you have and how many you still need to build.
