Pets seems to be more important, IMO.

Pets do get more stats overall than abilities, and I think the Pet's level affects how well the ability is performed.

The first abilities are more effective then leveling up your pets, that's what I think.

level 12 pets have an average of 100 attack/100 defense (give or take some)
and level 12 skills are all less than 30 attack/30 defense.
so leveling your pet proves to be more benificial, but at the same time, more costly.
but at the same time, the goal is to be max level of each, both skill level and pet level

yep...all of the do, the common ablities anyway....i guess the best way is to keep your pets and abilities on the same level..however if you are going cost wise...max out your abilities then work on the pets.

I agree. Making sure your pets skills are high is more important than just having a basic pet.

If I have the coins, I level up my pets. If not, I'll level up the common abilities if they aren't maxed out yet (they are) and then I work my way to getting each individual class ability
