I think the suit is bogus. People are paranoid... If you can't show us damages you're wasting our time.

In all fairness, damage is speculative. Aside from selling our phone numbers to telemarketing companies I'm not all that sure what they could do. But, even taking that into account, you have to pay for the minutes any of that would use up. In the end it is still personal information they had no business to take without prior consent. In short, they didn't write that kind of code into the programming for no reason. There must have been some kind of potential monetary gain from it otherwise it wasn't worth the risk and you can bet that at some level that money would come from us in some way.

Good point, but it's just hard to imagine the genius behind storm8 wasn't aware of--and prepared to deal with--this potential issue.
