Constant Farming and Spam Attacks

Greetings everyone,

Recently I have been having a major problem with another member, who continues to spam attack me, over and over again. I never once attacked this person, and I very kindly asked if there was something I did to upset him, for him to spam me so many times in a day, that I have lost track.

The person flat out ignores me, so I put all my money into the bank, yet he continues to attack and I just wanted to know why.

Is there anyway to deal with someone like this? Another reason I ask this question, is because I played the Rock Stars Live game and the EXACT same thing happened to me. No matter how kindly I asked, it almost seemed like I was talking to a brick wall.

So in the end, I just deleted the account from Rock Stars Live because at the constant rate of his spamming me with attacks, I could never gain enough money to buy ANYTHING. I even invited more people to join my group/clan etc. Yet that didn't phase this person either.

I'm hoping that who ever reads this, could please give me some tips and/or advice on how to handle this, because if it continues, then I'll have to delete all of the Storm 8 games that I have bought because it's just not fun anymore knowing that I will be attacked relentlessly throughout the day.

This game is annoying me lately.

In Ninjas the higher you get 60+ your attack board has the same tired names over and over so everytime you login you have the choice of someone you attacked an hour ago or someone you attacked 3 hours ago.

80% of the attack board is unhittable,you get the 'Hiding in the shadows' message.

You login and find youve been hitlisted multiple times because someone thinks you were farming them.
I guess I should not attack anyone so as not to upset some easily offended people.

Right now, I'm a 31 Mystic - and I haven't done anymore missions to level higher, just trying to get as much upkeep and fill the rest of my Clients.

But what really makes me angry is the fact that I haven't attacked a single person, not once. My attack is 1 while my defense is 95, and I have been trying to keep adding more defense, but some of these spam attackers, must think I'm easy prey since I just run the game, and try to get as much upkeep as possible.

Just really sucks, especially since I haven't done a single thing to anyone else.

If this continues, I'm just going to delete all of my Storm 8 game accounts, which would be Vampires Live, Ninjas Live and World War.

It's too bad they can't implement some sort of feature that stops these people who completely ruin the game for me as well as others I have talked to. :confused:

I dunno what kind of skill set there is in the rock star game but this particular game seems to reward the sneaky, ruthless and cunning players. I figured it was by design but I am enjoying it.

Umm... Yes whoever you are, I do know this is a Ninja game, and my complaint is simply the fact that I cannot even save enough money to put into the Clients so I can get a steady flow of upkeep. Sure I could put it in the bank, and then lose 10%, which isn't a whole lot if you deposit small amounts of money. So I have tried to do that, but it takes even more time to save a little here and a little there, so I can then upgrade my weapons/techniques/spells.

I try to play the "shadow games" or whatever the hell it is you're saying, but to be attacked, and attacked and attacked can be quite annoying.

And let me get this straight, you were also farmed by people relentlessly and that helped you play better? THAT was the whole point to this post, how can I turn all these constant attacks into something that I will then benefit from. It's not very fun being chastised by people here, who I thought would be kind enough to show me how to jump this hurdle.

So, I would like to say thank you for opening my eyes and letting me know that if I had any questions or concerns in the future, I will certainly not post anything here about them. Mainly out of the fact that people here really like to make it even more difficult for me by pointing out all the flaws in my written concern, and won't even bother telling me, "You should try this" or "You should try that".

Also, there is no way I am going to spend $4.99 thru $19.99 on Ancestor points, just so that can give me enough of a boost to purchase items that should hopefully make each spam attacker have a more difficult time attacking me 5-6 times in a row, and then like clock work, here comes another round of the same thing.

With that said, I guess my only other logical action would to just stop playing, cause I sure as hell don't want to have to ask for some tips/advice here so I can advance, even if it's at a small pace. Also simply out of fear that if I don't word a question correctly, then it's automatically my fault. And by asking a question and hoping for someone to be kind enough to help me diminish all the harassment I get on a daily basis.

And by the way, don't interpret this new post as harsh, or me being a jerk.

I'm also done rambling, and I hope it wasn't too confusing and I guess I will have to start looking for other forums etc. That can possibly be a bit more help.

The only tip o can give u isnplay the game smarter!!! Get the 150 clan members u can max at ur lvl 30 and buy 150 cheap weapons, teqs, and spells!! Easy as that...

If someone hits you multiple times - IGNORE IT! DO NOT POST ON THIER BOARD as that gives them a link to keep coming back. Some twisted souls will even keep attacking you over and over no matter how much money they get just because you asked them to stop...

The thing about ALL of the Storm8 Massivily Multiplayer Games is this. They take a LONG time, as in many months, to level when you are playing the game properly. And by properly I mean this. First rule. avoid playing missions to level quickly, when just starting out add at least one more clan mate. You strength is in how many clan members you have that you can fully equip. Keep your level low and keep buying income generating items. Expect to spend most of your time not leveling up and keeping your initial clan size below 5. As you do eventually level from getting exp from being attacked by other people, purchase any new and highest level abilities that become available. You need 1 from each category per clan member. Though that can vary if you're playing World War or Racing where it works a little differently. Otherwise Ninjas, Rockstars, Vampires, Zombies, iMobsters you need item per category per clan member for defence and attack. You may sometimes need to buy as many as two items for the highest level defence and highest level attack, when you are ready to attack people more. Try to make your income generating items at least a few times higher than the upkeep cost of the abilities you are carrying are so you will be ready for the next level up. But the skys the limit. I've been camping low level in iMobsters for the last couple of months and now have over a 15 million income for my clan of 2, and my upkeep is 21,000. I'm saving for the future. Also as you get beyond a certain level you and you've build your clan size. The more clan members you have at full strength the more powerful you will be. If you want to be pretty much impervous to most attacks once you've done your intial saving early on, build up to your maximum clan size which is 5x your level. And always keep it maxed and make sure you take your time each level to create more income.

Camping on low levels is highly cost ineffective as the available income clients soon only get a very low rate of return. It is worth getting close to level 30, get a slightly bigger clan and use the higher income possibilities. In iMobsters I only camped around lvl 12 for 2 weeks and after 5 weeks slow leveling only through missions I am level 33 with 40 mil income. As long as you invest in some def you will not get farmed, and you were to invest those points in def anyway later.

He speaks the truth... This game is based on attacking other ninjas... not sitting around waiting for clients to supply you with money so you can buy more clients and wait on them to supply you with more money to buy clients to........

I know if anyone attacks me, I attack them back. If someone complains about being attacked, I will relentlessly attack them. I do not care how many times I am hitlisted or retaliated against.

This isn't sadistic or immoral... It's called principles. If someone is sensitive enough to care whether they are attacked more times than they would like, then take care not to attack that particular ninja again and prey on the weak.

Never post a link on someones page threatening or warning them... I know in my case and players like earth ninja, it is simply never a good idea.

Any paper trail will be used against you whenever possible. A guy with a racist name left a comment with one person. He broadcasted and within 4 days he racist had close to HL deaths on his account.

Well I think you have to use all the facilities at your disposal if you want to play this game.
Make sure you have a full list of clan members
Make sure they are all have weapons
Bolster your defence as much as you can
bank your cash as often as you can

Ask them nicely to stop spamming you

As a last resort and I repeat,as a last resort you could hit list them :eek:

Rofl! I got this guy good yeasterday. I attacked him a few times and he filled his health, attacked me back and lost. Well I was looking to ditch stamina anyway, so I knocked he health down again. Then he says. "You are now farming! This is your last warning." He must have been trying to pick kills off the list, because the idiot kept healing. I knocked his health down 3 more times, and he lists me and says. "You just messed with the wrong person, this is far from over. Ask about me." I got that guy put up about 300 times, and personally attacked him at least 250 times as he tried to ride. He probably took another 300 losses from my mates attacking him. The guy had the biggest fit, and actually tried asking members of my own clan that were hitlisting him, to turn on me because I was a farmer.

But basically yeah, if someone attacks you 8 times in a row, its not on accident, and they probably do this to everyone, and they probably dont care about your warning. Giving them a link just gets you farmed heinously.

Earth, wow, can you talk some sense into people. I hit 85 today and I figure be how much I get tagged that the nature of the game is to pound ppl into the shadows. With how hard it is to find targets I don't complain when I get hit like that. But HEAVEN forbid if you hit someone more than 3 (is that the polite number this week?) times, you are labeled a farmer and have whole guild's hit list you. WTF? When did everyone in the high level bracket get so sensitive? As much as people seem to complain about his tactics, I think we need more ppl like Earth Ninja. At least you know where you stand with him and I have never seen him complain about hurt feelings.

I do not understand why people get so grumpy when they cannot make sure that they wont be attacked. It does not really matter if one person attacks you 5 times or 5 people attack you once. The cash is gone either way. Its a game that focuses hardcore on attacking people that do not have their shields up. Threatening with a whole clans 'mighty hand' after a few attacks is straight up childish.

I see it as a sport to hit the other player before he can hit me. In the 70s there are some great sportspeople who do it exactly the same and it works out very nicely. Everybody hunts, no one complains. Props to Pidugu and Simche.

This isn't true at higher levels. They don't care as much about your $30k to $50k as they do the exp from multiple attacks.
