I had just collected from my castle, and the items fell, one of the items was a truffle, because it triggered the quest where the Baron wants truffles and prime cuts. Well while I was in the middle of reading the quest (I couldn't collect the items that fell from the castle because the quest text was blocking them), and suddenly my game froze, the Loading screen popped up (with the running horse), then continued, and ai finished reading the quest. However, when I finished reading the quest, the new quest wasn't in my quest book, and none of the items I got from the castle were in my inventory. :(
