The Red October Massacre Event - The hunt is on.
What
48 hours of mayhem demanding a strong account and cunning tactics.
Where
Any single game of your choice.
When
Start: Friday, October 12th, 9:00pm EST
End: Sunday, October 14th, 9:00pm EST
Why
Well, many moons ago, a member of our community, moving only in mysterious circles and having never been seen, only felt, and going by the appropriate name of “Striker”, felt that the WW game had become settled and stale and took it upon himself to organize a day of mayhem, of carnage. So, the very first of a long-line of massacres was organized, and was held on the 1st April 2010. The “April Fool’s Day Massacre”, (or AFDM), was a resounding success for those who took part. Nearly 2 months later the ramifications of that day were still being felt. (Infiltrations of Pal groups, real $ bounties and resets galore all stem from that particular day).
THIS is what that very first massacre was all about. And THIS is what all future massacres should be about as well. Thus the idea of the Cup is to encourage the wild, indiscriminate attacks, the riling of a truly unpredictable nature of a clan, the revelling in an ever increasing death count… etc etc.
How
You must send an invitation to the arbitrator in the game of your choice.
You must post here stating your intentions to join, which app to use and username.
You must include screen shots of the before and after stats to either my S8 PM or PAL PM within one hour of the event start/finish times. To find the PAL room you must PM me on here.
The formula will be as follows: ((Exp - mission penalty)(bonus& + deaths - kills)^2)/100(1 - (wins/(wins + losses + 1)))
EDIT: The formula has been tweaked to reflect the purpose of a massacre to this: wins*(wins/(wins+losses))*((exp-mission penalty)^(3/2))*(((deaths+bonus&)^2)/100)
& 100 bonus points are awarded by putting maximum amount of players on the hit list each day of event. Must have screen shot trying to hit list the said daily target to prevent false pictures. The screen shot must be shown in PAL or S8 PM.
In simpler terms to understand how to score points, you will want many wins X w:l ratio multiplied by total exp multiplied by deaths and bonus. For Racing live, I will subtract 50% of deaths from losses in the first part of the formula to even out the playing field.
NOTE: Missions will be allowed during this event. Each mission that you complete will deduct 100 exp from your total experience gained.
Pro’s and Con’s of winning the Cup:
Pros:
1) You finally get the proper recognition you deserve. That cute in-game player with the heart and flower emoji in her name will finally start posting roses on YOUR comments board.
2) You will get an invitation to the most elite of all social groups – The Blownapart Cup winner’s circle, and join the illustrious winners of all past cups.
3) You get to choose and name the following massacre. Pick a date, and name it. (Strict rules apply to this process: the date must be within 2 months of the last event, and the name must be appropriate and link back to the date, and must contain the word “massacre”, or something similar.) PLEASE NOTE: THE CUP IS NOT THE MASSACRE, IT IS MERELY AN ADDITIONAL ELEMENT TO THE EVENT. (Compare it to the London marathon - anyone can run in it, but only a few take it seriously enough to be at the front with their ******* taped-up).
4) You get to choose who ‘sponsors’ the next Cup.
5) You get to amend the winning formula for the next Cup, should you so wish.
Cons:
1) You will be the arbitrator/organiser for the next event
2) As arbitrator, you may not take part in the event
3) The success of the next event will reflect back on you as much as the fact that you won the previous one. Membership of the Cup winners group will be reviewed following your event. (Ie, don’t screw it up!!) My advice: if you don’t fancy the organization - don’t enter.

Don't join just for the free points, they are merely a bonus for causing the most mayhem during the event. This is supposed to be fun and force players to break camp and actually play.
All reference and posting of the massacre should be done on the General Discussion forums.

This is the tentative plan and is subject to change any time before the event. Do not take these words to be set in stone as this is my first time hosting and I'm not certain how I want this run.
