I must be a bit stupid or maybe it's my lack of english skills but
i really don't get how attack and defense are calculated when attacking
someone. Can someone explain it to me?

When you attack - you use (1) each of action, regenerative ability and enhancement per clan member.

When you attack you use one each of the above per clan member with the highest attack. All those added up is the amount of attack you are using.

When you are defending - you use (1) each of action, regenerative ability and enhancement per clan member.

When you're defending you use one each of the above per clan member with the highest defense. All of that added up is the amount of defense you are using.

Thought I would add to this thread instead of starting a new one.

I understand how the attack & defence ability points work, but my question relates to the skill points.

I think my defense skill points are at 14, does that mean that when I am attacked I can use an ability of up to 14, but that if I had a defense ability of 16 only 14 of the 16 defense points in the ability would be used?

So horde of 9 x defense points of up to 14 = maximum defense per ability 126?

I also understand that if I am a level 5 I can attack/defend with up to 25 horde members, my post specifically pertains to how the skill points affect attack/defense.

Thanks in advance!

No, the skill points act more like a modifier. I'm not sure of the calculation (or if anyone outside of S8 knows it) but it kinda works like this

Horde members x Abilities x Skill points

So if you had 9 horde members and max abilities at say 21 per horde member with 14 skill points you'd get 9 x 21 x 14 = 2646

If someone else had the same horde and abilities but 22 skill points, they'd have 4158 and could beat stronger people than you could (or if those were defense points, you'd likely lose against them).

Like I said, the above is just a way to represent it--S8 likely uses a completely different algorithm but it gives you the basic idea.
