How do ATM's work?

So I looked through the threads and maybe I missed it but nobody asked but how ATM accounts work.

...So how do they work? What is the benefit of being an ATM? How do you get to higher levels (say level 163) if all you're doing is losing battles and paying out cash? Do you really get to higher levels ONLY by doing quests?

Just trying to figure out why someone want to be an ATM and how it benefits them. Thanks in advance for the help. :)

I have just decided to turn my Zombie account into an ATM

Reason because i don't play it income sitting there with no purpose as i don't care

How do you level up so quickly well more people that attack you , your experience increases if you got 200 health and 10 people attack you , you get 10 experience so if during a day 30-50 people attack you 50 Experience every day and you can see how your level up within few days.
