:(I'm so so sorry to say that storm8 make great games but let us down here on the forum, could some of the genius that went into the games not have gone here too.

Where are the answers we have been looking for, like what happens at 200 and beyond,

This was the perfect opportunity to give us a real insight and lay out into the workings of the game so we could make informed decisions on battles and overall strategy for ourselves, and for once fight without constantly questioning what way this or that works.

I think they did work very hard to make it look like it is a forum for the players by the players,

But look closely at the question and 1st 2nd or 3rd replies and you'll see the repetition of names or phrasing or syntax in the writing.

They should have put in an 'Attention from the office of the President and joint chef's' page and given us as plain as possible the low down.

Or was I expecting too much?? :(



Ok, a few day's have past and if you look, really look there are some truly great answers here from gamers, and when the 'dross is cleared away this could be an amazing site to get all the answers you could ever want.

But I think my original point stands, Storm8 could have given us a bit of 'something special'

Yes, I think it is a bit soon... way too soon to be 'disappointed'. This thing is just getting off the ground. Hang on a while and see how things go.

I suspect it's up to the MEMBERS (for the most part) of the forum to share their knowledge and experience.

After all, it wouldn't be a game if the designers told you exactly how everything works.

the forums is only live for a few hours.... way too early to be disappointed, I'm sure Storm8 is going to give us the answers to our questions. They seem to have much better customer support than all the other companies that make mmo games on the iphone.

there are things about the game that no member can EVER answer and this is the official Forum by the games creators the ONLY place that those kind of questions can be answered.

They have had months to analyse the game play of 1.7 players and yet there is nothing on that.

That said i think the real interesting questions, i.e. battle equasions and such will never be disclosed.

I never said Storm8 will never answer questions.
I said it will mostly be for members to help members.
Keyword => Mostly

And even the questions which only the developers could answer, don't ever expect them to give out ALL their secrets .... because that would take all the fun out of the game.

Example:
I'm sure they COULD post the exact ratio of how attack and defensive skill points equate to each battle, but I'd bet they will never EVER tell you that because then the game is simply a "who's better at math" game.

Instead, they gave you quick and short summary of "the basic idea" on how the skill points work ... and it's YOUR JOB to figure out how they help/hinder in your battles ... because that's what makes the game challenging.

Not the programing code of the game, but more from storm8 something to make this forum stand out from the rest, something that can only come from here?

Give it some time, grasshopper. I'm sure this forum will have more info in it that any other World War forum in just a few weeks, and then it WILL stand above all the rest.

To be honest, like others have said, today is the birthday of the forums. It's been live for less than 24 hours. I'm not saying I wasn't expecting more from this place, I'm just saying that you can't be disappointed with something that's been around for only a few hours. It's not going to be a triple-A experience to start off with, but if you give it a little time then it will flourish and take form.

To you and the other that missing the point yet again.

Forums are great you can learn a lot once they are given time to grow and be

straightened out THIS I UNDERSTAND


But this forum was created by the makers of the game so they don't need

time they already know. and again for the guys at the back I'm not asking for

the 'keys of the kingdom@ just a little insight to the future a glimpse a teaser

a hint at whats to come.

But seriously, rarely have I seen a developement team ever give insight to the general public about what ideas they are thinking about implementing next until they actually have it developed.

So your next question is why not:


Because if they eventually decide it was a bad idea and scrap it, then they'd have 1.3 million people complaining about "why was it scraped" here at the forum.
If it takes longer than they projected to complete the project, they'd have 1.3 million people asking every single day "dad, are we there yet".

Well, maybe all that is needed is a little patience. We saw this thing come online only yesterday. Then they added different games to the list. Maybe they are feverishly working to get more content into it. I would like a little more info myself but I will withhold my judgement for later.

I think what really irked me, RCON, with your post, was linking to other forums. It seemed rather an insult to the owners of this board. We are all guests here. I know of many other forums where you would have been kicked already. It all boils down to good manners. Since we are guests, after all. :o

After a decade of building and administrating many different web forums, I must agree whole heartedly with badshah. Coming here to promote another forum is BAD KARMA ... much less on opening day!!!

And the other HUGE problem that really got my goat was the thread title alone. To see that on opening day was just patheticly wrong in so many ways.

You wouldn't believe the amount of work that goes into putting one of these forums together, and getting the bugs worked out, and putting a moderator staff together ... and to be slapped in the face about how you are disappointed in (so far one thing and one thing alone) the fact they haven't posted an announcement yet about what upcoming features the have planned for down the road ... was just so wrong I can begin to describe how they are shaking their heads at you right now.

Storm8 isn't a fortune 500 company.
It's probably about 10 guys, LOL.
...and most of them are probably application developers, not website designers.

Imo, I think you're a little too impatient.
It's only the first couple days of the site. You need to give it time.
Things aren't just going to on here already. They don't even have signatures/avas or profiles working properly yet.
I think they're going to be more worried about that stuff than info atm.

Ummm, I've never seen a vBulletin (that's the forum software they use here) hack that will move let's say post #60 up to post #2 of a thread (which is what you just asked for basically), but I suppose it could be done if it changed the date of that "best response".

However in all my years I've never seen a forum that even considered doing such a thing. Seems to me it would break up the "train" of how a thread evolves.

And who's to say which post is "the best".
In most forum threads, there will be SEVERAL best answers.
Each with their own great and valid points.
